Every action has its equal opposite reaction.
Such a simple and well-known phrase, the scientific explanation isn't even needed. However, this phrase stretches on to more than just science. It describes a battle. A battle of virtues, sides, whatever it may be, there is always an opposing force.
The two stared each other down, the Teleporter in his brilliant dark armor, and Chad in a black hoodie. Although their attire showed different levels of protection, the two knew they had equal strength. This was a battle to see.
"Chad," the Teleporter started, "I am bringing you in. You have stolen important files from Luminosity Labs, resisted arrest, conspired in hacking Luminosity's firewall, have conspired with pirates, and work under one of the most wanted crime bosses and my personal archnemesis, Seth. I have to bring you in."
A firewall for Luminosity. So that's who 856507 was. A spokesperson for Luminosity. But why?
"All my actions are for good," Chad said. "If you knew, you would be doing exactly what I am doing. Seth just happens to have the same goal of taking down Luminosity. I am not only doing this to save lives but also save your ass. Some of those files we managed to extract are for developing a weakness against you."
"Yeah. I doubt it. You're just helping Seth steal batteries." The Teleporter said, eyes flaring purple.
Guess that's the cue for another really epic Hero VS Anti-Hero battle. Cue the music! But this is a book, so I can't really cue any music. I mean, you can listen to music if you want, but that might ruin the scene because you might choose a genre that will no go with the scene at all. Whatever.
Chad swung first, no powers, with a powerful right hook. However, he was blocked by the Teleporter moved away, dodging the punch through the fourth dimension, reappearing in front of Chad's face, delivering a powerful kick. Chad was knocked back, but still standing. Using his gravity, Chad pulled the Teleporter towards him, causing the Teleporter to collide with Chad's fist. Chad used gravity to throw the Teleporter to the floor behind him, turning to face him.
Rising to his feet, the Teleporter rose, before disappearing into the fourth dimension, building up momentum before charging forward at Chad, who barely had time to block the momentum with gravity. The two superpowers exchanged blows, neither side more powerful. Chad bent down, using gravity to propel himself forward, delivering an uppercut to the Teleporter. The Teleporter responded by disappearing, then appearing behind Chad and grabbing his foot, throwing him to the opposite end of the room. CHad stopped the momentum with gravity.
When Chad looked around, the Teleporter was now nowhere to be seen. Conway slowly walked to the middle of the room. Suddenly, he saw a bright purple flash circle around him, signifying his opponent was nearby. Suddenly, the purple streak appeared again, colliding with Chad. Conway raised his defenses, looking around, but was hit again by a purple streak from a different direction. Suddenly, more purple streaks appeared, colliding with Chad and knocking him around, coming from different directions while increasing in force and momentum.
"YOU CANNOT STOP ME!!!" The Teleporter yelled. He teleported in front of Chad, charging up a beam of fourth-dimensional energy, then blasting it straight at Chad, tearing up space. The Teleporter charged up again, this time blasting a ball of void energy. However, Chad caught it, dispelling the energy around him with gravity. He raised his head at the Teleporter, before speaking.
"With every action, there's an equal and opposite reaction. I AM THAT REACTION."
The Teleporter charged at Chad through the fourth dimension, but Chad stopped him with gravity, pulling him out of the fourth dimension and slamming him on the ground. Chad started walking towards the Teleporter, a new bright emerald anger glowing in his eyes.
The Teleporter started blasting Chad with short blasts of void energy, but Chad knocked them away as he advanced. He grabbed the Teleporter, throwing him across the room with gravity, before zooming towards him in a gravitational jump, then pulling himself and the Teleporter into the fourth dimension. Chad punched the Teleporter, throwing him out of the fourth dimension and into a wall. Chad emerged, kicking the Teleporter again into the wall, before using gravity to back out and slam himself again. Chad picked up the Teleporter again, then threw him around the room, before charging and tackling him. The Teleporter managed to fourth dimensionally punch Chad back, but using gravity, Chad picked up multiple items in the room, encircling the Teleporter, before sending them all flying towards his opponent. He was being constantly bombarded with items when a voice shouted,
"STOP!!!"
Both the Teleporter and Chad turned to see where the voice was coming from. Seth was standing there, holding up a piece of paper before giving it to the Teleporter.
"He's telling the truth. Luminosity is developing something against you. As much as I hate you, we need your help on this one."
The Teleporter took the paper, quickly reading it before looking up.
"So you expect me to stop fighting this guy so abruptly and fight on your side just because you gave me one document? You've stabbed me in the back on multiple occasions,"
O-Oh. Sorry. I am a lazy narrator, I tried to take the easy way out on that one and end it 3 lines up. Guess SOME PEOPLE are not happy about this.
"Well... yea," Seth said.
The Teleporter laughed. Seth shifted uncomfortably. The narrator tried to think of more things to say.
"Look," Seth started. "Even if you don't trust the document, THE FACT that my friend here even possesses the power he has is a sure indicator. No one else could have accomplished such a radical intentional biological mutation other than Luminosity and the Klingers, and the Klingers are dead."
The Teleporter stayed silent, processing the information.
Seth continued his persuasion. "Now you may be combing through your head all the other possible reasons they could have made him. However, it is very clear to me and should be clear to you that his powers directly counter yours. They are after you."
The Teleporter remained relatively stoic, but asked, "But why should I trust YOU?"
Chad stood up. "Um... I know you guys are archenemies and everything, blah, blah, blah, but it seems to be that much more is at stake than just your battle. If this goes through, it won't matter who you'll be fighting. Either you and I stand together, or we fall divided."
There was a long pause.
For the first time the Teleporter shifted his weight, before speaking.
"So what's the plan?"
