Chapter 3: Balloon War

I woke up early in the morning and got myself dressed as quickly as possible. It wasn't like I was in a hurry, I just didn't want anyone to see me changing, especially if there was a video camera around here somewhere.

Once I finished tying my laces of my combat boot, I got out of my place and easily jumped off the tree house and landed softly on the ground. I walked off into the forest to find some water. None of us have founded any, and I was most likely dehydrated. It has been quite a lot.

I explored the forest all around to just find a simple stream or even a water fall. I was desperate to find something to drink. Yep, I'm dehydrated.

I walked around a bit more when I could smear that the sun was about to rise in less than an hour. I walked a little faster till I collided into something hard. I fell to the ground with a thud.

"Ahh! Zombie!" I heard someone scream and jump on me. I yelped as tried to get him off.

"Uh, Shawn? Is that you?" I said as I rubbed my head to soothe the pain and kept him from jumping me again.

"Wait, Lilith? You're not a zombie?" Shawn asked. I gave him a bizarre look.

"Why would I be a zombie? It's not like they can get my brain through my thick skull." I said with a laugh. I was still on the ground. Shawn handed out a hand to me and I gradually took it. Once I got back up to my feet, I brushed myself off. "Thanks,"

"Anytime," Shawn replied. "So, what is a British girl doing out here when the sun is almost rising?"

"Trying to find some water. I'm pretty sure I'm dehydrated and I don't think the juice from the berries are doing much good." I said.

"Oh, well you wouldn't believe what I found! Come on!" Shawn said excitedly as he started running off. I caught up with him in no time and we reached the most beautiful thing I've ever seen, and that's saying something when I've seen the Eiffel Tower in France. Let's just say I saw a naked man mooning practically everyone on the very top.

"Wow, it's so beautiful." I said mesmerized by the waterfalls beauty, and it wasn't even that big. The moon that was halfway lit into and the colours of purple and dark blue made the water entrancing.

"It sure is," said Shawn.

"And it's safe? You can drink from it?" I asked with a wide grin spread on my face.

"Well, I'm not sick yet." Shawn said. I gasped I excitement.

"This is brilliant! Thanks for telling me! Now I'll definitely make it through this!" I said and pulled him into a hug. I could sense that he froze at my sudden move, but then soon relaxed.

*"Wait, hold on. I don't like him. Nope, not at all. It was only a friendly hug. A grateful hug for that matter. . . For the water so I won't dehydrate and die on the island. Yeah, that's it."*

I let go of Shawn and felt my face slightly heat up. "Well, it looks like the sun is finally out." I said as looked over the waterfall where the sun was rising.

"Uh, yeah!" Shawn said suddenly louder than usual. I raised one eyebrow but decided to ignore it. I sat down on the ground criss-cross. I pulled out my backpack and opened it up. I grabbed two empty jugs out of my bag. I'm so glad I stole these from the pit of junk.

"Wanna help me fill these up?" I asked.

"Yeah, seems like a good idea. But how'd you managed to put those in that backpack?" Shawn asked.

"Oh, it's much bigger than that on the inside. This is my travel bag. I carry literally everything in here. Even snacks that I brought with me from home. Want a Debby?" I handed out a Debby cake in front of him.
