Chapter 12: My Talent

I went to bed as I felt like I would get a comfortable sleep. I got into my night clothes and got into my hammock and started to fall asleep.

I woke up by hearing someone yawn. I hated not being a heavy sleeper. I sat up and looked around, but I couldn't find anyone. Well, whatever. I got myself dressed and ate a Debby cake and drank a Calypso. I didn't have much of these left anymore as I thought I would.

Wow, I made it to the final four. I never thought I'd ever get this far, but I did. And dang, I am pretty proud of myself.

*"I never thought I'd get this far. And I'm glad I did. Now my only chance left is winning!"*

"Attention, punching bags, it's that time again. Final four to the meeting area. Pronto!" I heard Chris' voice. We all ran to the meeting area.

"Children of competition, your toughest challenge yet will be in four parts. Head to head to head to head." Chris said.

"Head to head? Ha, just call me the winner now!" Sugar said. "My noggin's bigger and solider than everyone else's combined!"

"Head to head doesn't mean --"

"My doctors say my skull is so thick, so of my brain's squashed down into my neck." Sugar said.

"Now that I believe," Sky said.

"Well, yeah. 'Cause it's true." Sugar said.

"Thai will be a four-part challenge. Each player gets to create one of those parts." Chris said.

"Yes!" I shouted as I fist bumped the air.

"I get to create my own challenge?!" Sky asked. Well, that is what he just said.

"You all do. Within reason. Winner of each challenge gets four points; second place gets three, third place gets two, and last place gets one. After all four challenges, the player with the lowest total points gets to see the inside of a cannon, briefly." Chris said.

"The three highest scores get to battle it out in the finale for one million dollars!" Chris finished. Oh, I already know my challenge. The case of the money was hung by a fishing rod by an intern. Suddenly, the money all fell out of it. "Whoa, careless! Get that money back into the case or you're fired."

"You'll have one minute to write down the details of your challenge." Chris said.

*"Oh, this is going to be awesome!"*

"We begin our final four showdown created by. . . Sky." Chris said and she began to cheer.

"Hold up. Why is Sky's challenge first?!" Sugar yelled.

"Easy, tiger. The order was randomly selected by the help of the interns." Chris said. "And Sky's challenge is. . . A 100 meter hurdles race."

"Yeah!" Shawn shouted. Hmm, I may not be too bad at this. Hopefully. . .

"Now hurdles, while exciting," Chris yawned as if he was bored. "Didn't seem in keeping with the spirit of the show. So, I was forced to add some, y'know, extras." Sky and Shawn both sighed.

"You might want to be careful out there. Any who, on your marks, get set, and go!" Chris blew the air horn and I immediately took off running. I jumped the first hurdle and I screamed out in victory inside my head.

I continued to run and jump hurdles until I was coming close with Sky. We both glared at each other till she fell into a hole and I fell in mud.

"Seriously, Chris?!" I shouted and got back up. Sugar was ahead and I got right behind her. Sky finally caught on speed and made it to the victory. Shawn got second and I got third. Sugar came in last.
