Plot Summary: Takashi Natsume has the ability to see spirits, just like his grandmother, Reiko Natsume. At a young age, he didn't have any friends because they find him strange. His grandmother has passed her 'Book of Friends' to him before she died, it contains the spirits that she has bullied when she was young. But because the book is quite precious, it cost a high price to which haunt Natsume. He released the spirited that are good, however the bad spirits had tried to kill him to get their hands on the 'Book of Friends'. Madara (called Nyanko-sensei by Natsume), has luckily came to save Natsume from trouble, becoming his bodyguard. Although, Madara himself, also wants the 'Book of Friends' but he became friend with Natsume.

Suggestions: I suggest this anime if you enjoyed watching Kamisama Hajimemashita, Kimi ni Todoke, Nura: rise of the yokai clan, Hotarubi no Mori e and Mushishi. I also suggest if you are a fan of drama, supernatural and comedy. I recommend this anime if you have enjoyed watching Kamisama Hajimemashita and Hotarubi no Mori e especially, the story between the bond of a yokai and human. I recommend this anime for twelve and over.
