They say that a human life span is just a blink of an eye compared to all the miraculous events that have occurred throughout the Earth's history. An insignificant dot on a thoroughly painted canvas. But to the owner of that insignificant dot, the seventy years or so that he does have, mean more than anything else in the world. In fact to each person, that miniscule dot is a miracle in itself.
Now, each life, of coarse, tells a story. Whether it is majestic ballad, or a simple poem is entirely dependant on the author himself.
Before I met Austin Reynold I never would have thought that my story would ever hold a single ounce of importance. My tale was never going to be remembered. There would never be a class of children trying to memorize my date of birth and all my accomplishments, because truth to be told, I probably would have none. Most sixteen year olds know this, and understand this. They know that they are just a drop of water in a raging waterfall and they understand that they are just a speck of dust in the universe.
However, there are always rare exceptions. Once in a while you will meet someone who has not fully grasped the concept of being invisible. Those very few people are the very beings who go around changing the world, the ones whose names are written in bold in textbooks and are announced on the days of public holidays. And to me, one such person was Austin Reynold.
