"Are you coming, brendon?", my sister Ava yelled from the living room.

I rolled my eyes and went with my hands trough my hair in front of the mirror. Today I can't risk looking bad. I even wore my best t-shirt and my new jeans. Just my hair didn't wanted to look the way I wanted it to look like.

I cursed under my breath and went to the living room, seeing Sam, Ava and my parents standing bored in front of the entrance.

"Can we go now?", Sam sighed.

My mother nod and we all walked to the church. It was 4 pm, so it was pretty sunny out here.

I saw a wide field with many tables and people standing there. The priest didn't lie, there was much food.

When we arrived Sam walked over to Brent who was already standing with his father in front of the church.
Ava went to her best friends Breezy and Dallon. Both siblings had their own clique, like in every movie. I just wished I also could be in one, or just have a friend. I had one once. But this was a long time ago.

And my parents went to the priest, leaving me standing here alone. I already was awkward, and standing here alone didn't help at all.

Thanks, family.

I sighed and went to the table with food, taking a glass and poured in some water.

"Oh, hey brendon!"

I flinched and spilled the water a bit out.

"Sorry, I didn't want to scare you", Ryan chuckled.

"I-its o-okay."

"Nice that you and your family came. Now I don't have to just stand next to my father", he said smiling.
I also smiled and took a sip.

"We choose a good day to make make a party with the whole neighbourhood. It's really sunny", he said.

Was this small talk? Should I also say something about the weather? Or just stand here?

I smiled at him again.

"You're not that talkative, aren't you?", he asked chuckling.

I shrugged. What should we talk about? I mean, what could come out of my mouth that he's also interested in?

"You're weird", he said smiling.

I pressed my lips together and looked at my shoes.

"Don't take this as an insult! I mean it in a good way, you know? Sorry, I just think you're special. That's good, you're not like other people", he immediately said scratching his neck.

"O-ok", I said looking up again.

"Let's walk a bit, it's pretty crowded here", he said already taking a few steps forward.

"You're coming?", he asked when he saw me didn't following him.

I laid the glass down and followed him. Where did he want to go? And why with me?

I just knew that I would follow him everywhere.

He just had to smile.
