Chapter 8 - Realization...

I'd like to mention that this chapter was inspired by XxPokemon_KingxX 'The Game of Love' story. I really liked how he/her put together a certain chapter, chapter 4 to be specific. You should start to notice the similarities between the two the futher you read into this chap. If that author was ever to read this, I'd like to say that, that was one of the best stories that I've read on Wattpad.. I just wish he/she kept the story going!!

Serena's POV

"I hope your boyfriend doesn't leave your life"

It's been a good month since my little incident with the pretty boy. I haven't been bullied recently, but I have been approached by Ash multiple times. He's like a leech, he just can't seem to not bother me. And now I have a paired assignment in English with that simpleminded brat! God, could this day get any worse!! Entering the classroom I notice that pretty boy is not in his seat, what a relief! Placing my backpack on the ground, I looked around to see Dawn talking to Mallow. Standing up, I head towards the two only to be bumped into. Trying to keep my balance I attempt to grab onto a desk, but that ends up failing.. I open my eyes and realize that I haven't hit the ground yet. Looking up I can't help at glare at the boy who's holding me up. "What are you doing, Ash Ketchum?" "Wait, you wanted to fall on the floor? Here you go!". He lets go of me as I crash onto the ground, I hear many giggles reverberate around the room. Jumping up, I huff and make my way back to my seat, looks like I won't get to talk to Dawn.. again. As the teacher is about to start, I notice Ash and my table mate Misty use some hand signals, what are they doing? As the teacher turns around to write something on the board, Ash and Misty switch seats.. giggling in the process. I frown and glare at pretty boy who just grins at me. While working on the paired assignment, with Ash, I can't help but stare at him. He may be the most annoying guy in this school, but he looks just as good as Calem, but then again I also care about personality.

*Click, click, click*

"Ash, can you stop clicking your stupid pen?". Surprisingly he stops clicking his pen just to start tapping his pencil on the desk.

Tick. Tick. Tick.

"That isn't any better, idiot!" "Excuse me you two? Work on your assignment please!". He looks at our teacher "Yes of course!". Turning to face me he flashes a huge smirk, god I want to wipe that smirk off his face. I turn to check the clock on the wall; Awesome! Only a couple more minutes!! A piece of paper grabs my attention as Ash leaves his chair to probably go talk to Misty.

You want me out of your life? Just meet up with me at the lockers, and I'll be done bothering you.

My hands form fists as I read this, he must be playing some game with me! As the bell rings I see Ash's eyes lock on with mine. He tosses me a wink and locks his two pinky fingers together, as if telling me that we promised to meet up.. I groan as I make my way towards forth period.

I see Calem in the hallway talking to Trip, I skip towards them gaining some glares from passing students. "Hey Calem" "Oh hey Sere, sorry about not talking with you for the past couple of days, I've just been very busy". My smile starts to flip as I reply," I know you're working hard, I'll be waiting Calem!! Please hurry up, I want to hangout with you!!". Calem shoots me a smile, but Trip seems to softly chuckle, what's so funny?

"Damn Calem, you're really a ladies man huh?" "You could say that Trip"

Entering Lit class, I grudgingly sit next to Mr. Pretty Face. "Ash, you better be serious about leaving my life, I don't to be bothered by you!" "You're bothered by my popular presence? So sad Sere, I hope someone will give you the attention that I give you" "What are your intentions huh?" "You'll get to see the full show after class, Honey!". I turn my head to face the board as I think about what he's said to me in the past month, 'I hope someone will give you the attention that I give you'.. Calem would be that guy, but as of the next couple of weeks, he has to work and study hard. 'I hope your boyfriend doesn't leave your life', why would he ever? Although we aren't together at the moment, we have been together for two years!! I feel like Ash just wants attention, I'll give it to him just this one time. Before class ends, Mrs. Willims calls my name "Serena, please stay after class for me!" "Yes Mrs. Willims". As the bell rings, Ash has a big smile on his, but I have a big frown on my face. "Mrs. Willims, what can a help you with?" "I'd like to talk about your grade in Lit, it's concerning, this used to be your only A, but now it's dropped to a B-. What's going on Serena?". What should I say, 'Sorry, I'm doing this for my one true love? Maybe she would understand?'. "I just have a lot on my plate, you know things at home..". That is the truth, but it's a lie since I could try harder in class. "I'll let you go Serena, but I'd like to mention that your boyfriend in waiting has not improved a single grade of his, did you know about that?". What!? He hasn't? What the hell has he been doing the past five weeks!? He better have a good excuse! Honestly, he does have home problems too. "And you're mentioning that to me.. because?" "I know some couples try to get similar grades so that they can go to the same college. It doesn't always work out Serena, life can be unfair to you at times. I've gone through it myself" "You? How would you know! You can't remember anything!! You just don't want Calem and I to be happy together!". God! SHE'S SO ANNOYING! Why does she care so much about my personal life!
