I didn't even pay attention to the movie much. My mind was racing with thoughts. All about last night at the party.

A knock sounded from my door. I got up and unlocked it, opening it to see Jess and Hannah standing there with ice cream.

"We brought medicine," Hannah said, holding up the ice cream she was holding.

I said nothing as I stepped aside. Opening the door wider so they could come in.

"What're you watching?" Jess asked, eyeing my tv with curiosity.

The movie was almost over by now, with maybe 20 minutes left.

"It's called 'To the Bone'. It's about this girl that's anorexic. She's been to all kinds of those home things where they're supposed to make you better and help you start eating again. None of them had helped her and then she was sent to another one by her step mother and half sister because they were worried about her. Long story short she ends up realizing she's hurting herself after leaving the last home and she goes back and presumably gets better." I explained, even though no one asked me to.

"Why exactly are you watching this?" Jess asked, brows furrowed as Hannah looked at me with a sad knowing look.

"It's my favorite movie," I shrugged turning away from her and turning the movie off.

She didn't question me any further, just sat down on my bed and tossed me a pint of rocky road and a spoon.

"Let the magical creamy ice heal your soul," Jess said laughing as I eyed her weirdly. Hannah laughed joining her on the bed.

I sighed, sitting down on my window seat.

"So, are you ready to talk about it?" Jess asked wearing a sad expression.

"What's there to talk about?"  I asked, picking at my frozen treat.

"What exactly happened Emmy, what caused you to blow up?"

I sighed, putting my ice cream down before replying. "When I found him, he hugged me and seemed happy I was there. He asked me if I wanted to play beer pong. I told him I needed to talk to him, alone. I told him how I felt and he obviously wasn't expecting it, but he didn't feel the same. It got awkward quick. I apologized for it. He apologized saying that there was this other girl that he likes and that I'm his best friend. He friend zoned me." I said, swallowing the lump in my throat.

"What happened after that?" Hannah asked.

"I told him I had to go. I ran back inside, unaware he was following me. I ran into Montgomery and his drink spilled all over me. He got pissed, called me a prude and shit. Then Jeff reached me and he tried to help me clean myself up but I wouldn't let him. I just, I got so mad, I'm not even sure why but I was pissed. I cursed at him and Montgomery and then left."

They didn't say anything, they just came over and hugged me.

We sat around after that, watching Disney movies all day. They stayed the night that night.

The jocks of Liberty High were currently at Bryce Walker's house. They were messing around and laughing with each other over stupid shit. They'd had a few beers that night. They talked about how many girls they had fucked recently and such. Normal jock stuff.

Montgomery de la Cruz, Liberty High's own fuckboy, was bragging about how every girl in the school wanted him.

"Literally every girl at school drools over me," he said with a cocky smirk on his face.
