Lost Love.

Chapter 2: Back in the days...

Leonard's POV

All my love life revolves around one girl, and her name is Pensri. She was a Thai girl that came to Singapore to study during her High School days. Back then, we were extremely close... In fact, just next door. 

I still remembered...

Back in secondary school...

I was sitting down on the ground, reading my Manga when suddenly I felt a slight tapping on my shoulder. I turned my head and looked up. Standing next to me was none other than my teacher-in-charge, Mr. Chang. "Leonard, can I talk to you for a while?" Mr. Chang whispered to me.

I gave a slight nod and placed my Manga back into my bag. I stood up and followed him. As I was walking with him towards the canteen, I saw a beautiful girl on the corner of my eyes. I stopped walking to just look. She was super cute and gorgeous. She had long black hair and was in a long white dress. At that moment, I was completely out of my senses. Who is she? Why is she here? I stood there for a while, enjoying the wonderful sight right in front of my eyes.

"Leonard?" my teacher called out. But her beauty made me completely out of this world, completely out of my senses. I was too engrossed in the beauty of that girl.

"LEONARD!" Mr. Chang shouted.

"HMM?" immediately I turned my head and realized... He was far ahead at the general office! "OH! I'M SORRY! I'm coming!" I turned to look at the girl for one last time and I lowered my head as I ran towards Mr. Chang. 

"Okie Leonard, I have a task for you. There will be a new student joining the class, and I hope that you will be able to help guide this new student around. Okie?" Mr. Chang asked.

"Yeah, sure! I will guide him around!" I replied. That moment, I assumed it was a new guy that was coming to the class as its always known that guys will be bringing new guys around and girls will be with the new girls. 

As Mr. Chang and I were talking... 

"Knock Knock Knock" someone knocked on the door. I turned my head and I saw my Discipline Master standing by the door and... A beauty was standing next to him!

"Sorry for interrupting your conversation. This is the new student that will be joining your class today, Mr. Chang. Pensri, how about you do a self-introduction?" said the Discipline Master politely. Pensri stood in front of Mr. Chang and me. She placed both hands together in front of her face and bowed a little. 

"Sawadee Ka! My name is Pensri and I come from Thailand. Hope that we will be able to get along together!" Pensri said sweetly. Although she was doing her self-introduction, my focus was not on the introduction! Her face, her voice, her attitude, it just melts me in my heart. Where did this angel even came from? (Well... She just said that she's from Thailand... -.-lll) 

"Leonard?" Mr. Chang gave a gentle tap on my shoulder, but I was too engrossed by Pensri that I was not in my senses. 

"LEONARD!!" Mr. Chang shouted next to my ears.

"HUH? WHAT?" I jumped out of my chair! Shit, Mr. Chang! Why do you have to do this to me? 

"My apologies! My name is Leonard, the Class's Representative. Hope we can get along as a class!" I said softly and lowered my head. As my head was down, I could hear Pensri trying so hard to hold a soft giggle. My face immediately turned was super hot. Was it the weather? Or am I embarrassed? Or... SHIT, AM I BLUSHING??? I was not sure... But whatever it was, this is how my first meeting with Pensri went. 

After a few days of meeting Pensri, I sent Pensri home with Earth. We were standing in front of my doorstep... 

"Wait... Wait... Wait... YOU LIVE HERE?" Earth and I said in disbelief. And to our surprise, Pensri nodded! What a coincident! How could I be missing this beautiful sight for the past few days? or maybe even weeks?!

I also remembered one day, as we were studying in the library, I asked her, "Pensri, may I ask... why did you come and study here?"

"Well, my dad was transferred here to work, so I had to follow my family..." She replied, with a smile on her face.

All these memories of her were pretty short... And how sometimes I hope that time would just stop or slow down. 

At last, it was our graduation day. I finally took the courage together and asked Pensri for a photo. She whipped out her Polaroid Camera from her bag and asked Earth to help us take an image. As the image was washed out immediately after taken, she took an image of it using her smartphone's camera and gave the polaroid to me. I looked at it, took it over from her hands, smiled and gave a small bow. At that moment, I was too oblivious to the news that Pensri was leaving. 

On the day that Pensri was leaving, I heard a vigorous knocking on my door. 

"OIII!! YOU WANT TO BREAK MY DOOR DOWN IS IT?" I shouted towards the door as I knew that it was Earth for sure. I opened the door.  

"DUDE! DO YOU KNOW YOUR LOVE IS GONNA FLY AWAY SOON?" Earth shouted towards me in shock. 

"Wait... what are you talking about?" I was all confused and did not understand what he was talking about.

"Pensri is flying off back to Thailand today! I not sure if she is coming back or not, but if you want to keep your love, this is the time!" Earth shook me as hard as he could. I immediately ran to my room, grabbed a permanent marker and wrote on the back of the Polaroid that she had given to me. I dashed out of my house... 

Unfortunately, I missed her taxi in that split moment. She was on her way to the airport already... I even tried taking a taxi to the airport, and run from terminal to terminal, texting and texting her non-stop, just hoping to be able to see her one last time before she leaves. But, to no avail. I held the only polaroid photo that I had and grab it super tight, near my heart. At the back of the Polaroid, it states, "I love you."

Back to now...

I still have that polaroid in my wallet. I took out the polaroid and flipped it around, revealing the words, "I love you". I really miss her.

"Bro, you are going to see her again soon. Don't worry okie?" Earth passed me a glass of water and placed his hands on my back, as he sat next to me. I looked at him for a while. 

"Come! Let me help you pack your luggage for your stay in the hostel!" Earth stood up and reached his hands out, "And no worries, I will ensure you have a successful love story!"

I looked at him, smiling at me. I regained back my energy and stood up. 

"Thank you, bro!" I smiled back as I head towards my cupboard to grab some shirts that are necessary.
