Chapter 3: My Independent Life STARTS NOW!

Leonard's POV

Today is the day! The day that I will start an independent life all by myself!

I was in a private taxi with Earth to my assigned block. 

"Are you ready for your new life alone? Mummy's Boy..." Earth started teasing me from the side. 

"Err... I guess so..." I answered uncertainly. Then I realized what he said and fought back, "HEY WHAT MUMMY'S BOY? I AM ALREADY LIKE 20+ ALREADY!" 

"Ya ya ya... 20+ BUT STILL A MUMMY BOY!" Earth started giggling at the side. I kept on fighting back and forth until I thought about being able to meet Pensri soon, I stopped. 

As we arrived at my block's dormitory, the delivery men started to unload my things and bring them up to my room. 

"Okie bro! Now you have to live all alone. I will come over after I bring some stuff over to my room. See you soon!" Earth said while giving me a few taps on my shoulder. As he headed back into the taxi, I saw one of the delivery man carrying onto a grey box. It's a box that I purposely had a different color than the other brown boxes as they were really important to me. 

"Oh! For this box, I would love to carry it myself... Thank you so much!" I took over the box over. The box was actually filled with a lot of my favorite figurines. Hence, they were just too expensive to be forcefully carried or thrown about.

"Thank you for the service! Here are some tips for you guys!" I told the workers while giving a short bow in a form of appreciation.

"Ahhh... Then for the invoice, we will send it to you via Email!  If there aren't any more things, then we shall excuse ourselves! Thank you for choosing our company!" They gave a slight bow. They got back into their vehicles and drove off.

After making sure that they drove off around the corners, my lowered my head to look at the grey box in my hand as I turned around...

"Bang!" I hit into someone! In protection of all my figurines, I hugged the grey box tightly in my arms and went straight down on my ass! OUCH...

"Oh my gosh, are you okay?" A male voice said in concern as he reached his hands out to help me up.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Not to worry..." I replied as I reached out to his hands to lift myself up. As I got up, I gave slight taps on my pants. 

"You sure?" He asked again for confirmation.

"Yeah yeah! No problem!" I doubled confirmed.

"Alright! Okie then!" he replied and rushed off...

I opened up my box to see if anything was hurt. Luckily nothing was spoilt. The only thing that probably had a problem would be the hurting on my butt. 

"Yeah, everything is fine and...." As I raised my head to look as I wanted to officially apologize, he was gone. 

I slowly made my way to my room as my butt was hurting. I reached out to my key that was in my pocket and opened the door of my room. 

"Oh Hi! You must be Leonard! I am Jayden. I will be your roommate for the rest of your university life!" Jayden reached out his hand for a handshake. 

"Hi... hahaha... Yup. I am... Leonard?? Leo?? Nard? I suppose... Whatever that's fine for you..." I replied awkwardly as it's really uncomfortable for me to see anyone so friendly or open when it comes to day one. After the handshake, I turned towards my table and placed my precious box on. After that, I dropped onto my bed and closed my eyes, planning just to rest my eyes... But who knows, I fell asleep. 

Not long after I took a nap, I heard a knocking on my door. Who can that be? Could it be Earth? But it such a polite knock, so it can't be that bastard... and where is Jayden? Why didn't he answer the door? 

I got out of my bed and walked to the door with my half opened eyes and rather messy hair. I opened the door as I scratched my hair. Who would expect... A guy, standing right in front of me.

"Pensri, here is the application form for your scholarship in this university, please check..." he said while looking at the documents on his hands. After he finished, he looked up and realized.

"Oh shit! I'm Sorry! I got the wrong room!" He added quickly, and he turned around in embarrassment. He whipped out his mobile phone and checked.

"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry! I got the wrong room! Sorry to disturb you!" he turned back to apologize as he walked away, awkward.

I walked back in and closed my door. I lied back onto my bed and I wanted to catch back on that sleep when I realized...Pensri? Wait, is it the Pensri that I know? If it is, then who can he be? Why does he know Pensri and sound so close to her...?

As I was deep in my thoughts, suddenly, there was a vigorous knocking on my door, which made me jumped out of my bed. 

"ASSHOLE! Open up! I'm Earth!" Earth shouted from the outside. As known from the asshole's actions... 

"F you, Earth! LIKE SERIOUSLY!" I shouted back as I opened the door. "Why do you have to always do this to me? and what makes you, coming all the way to the other side of the dormitory block, to find me?" I replied in a rather irritated way. 

"Oh seriously? you want to F me?" Earth gave me a smirk which made me feel super uncomfortable, "and what's wrong with me checking on my buddy? Didn't I said I will come by after I placed my stuff down?" Earth questioned. 

"Or... you are hiding someone in your room? Eh!! Ehh!! BUDDY!" Earth said cheekily as he pushed me aside, barging into my room like some kind of an inspector. 

"Seriously... Nothing clean can come out of that mind of yours. Only you, with that handsome looks of yours, it's possible. For me? Ha. not a single chance..." I replied in despise. 

"Come on! Sometimes you are just too negative about yourself and your self-esteem! You will look good eventually when you are more confident!" Earth joked, "Want to go for a drink? I heard the cafe behind the school is quite good."

"Err... Okie! Sure!" I answered. After that, I grabbed my wallet and left my room. As I was about to lock the door...

"Wait!! hold on!!" Jayden shouted from a distance... 

"This is??" Earth asked in confusion. 

"Hi! The name's Jayden, I am Leonard's Roommate!" Jayden self-introduced as he tried to catch his breath, "Where are you guys heading to?"

"Yeah, that's cool! I am Earth, Leonard's 'BROTHER'. I am from the School of Engineering. Here to check out how's my 'LITTLE BROTHER' is doing after coming in..." Earth said cheekily. "Well, we are heading to the cafe behind the dorm... Do you want to tag along?"

"That sounds great! We can socialize as we drink!" Jayden added as he grabbed my right hand which was still on the knob to lock the room. After that, he placed his right hand on my shoulder and off we go...
