CHAPTER 10
Lunch at school is very different this time timid and raining.
Matt was looking at me as I sneeze and coughed.
“That is not good”
“Well this is a natural occurrence it happens all the time” answering him while I cover on my mouth
“But that sounds bad though” Aira joining Matt
“Well I’ll get better in no time” answering them
“Wolves like us supposed to not get sick like that” Aira speaking
“That’s what I was thinking since this morning” Matt said
“We still have human genes and that’s normal – don’t make it sound like I am contagious”
“You are” Aira said sarcastically as Macie, Tara and Dave joined in
“You look sick” Tara joining
“Yes and we’ll it’s not that bad I’ll be fine in the next hour” answering him with a sneeze
“I have a question though?” Aira speaking “We girls are having a night out at Macie’s and we are more than happy to have you”
As I looked at Matt who shrugged “I’ll say yes when you girls say yes to Charlie plus one to guard outside the house”
“Fair enough we have a VIP guest” Macie answered as we all ate our lunch and headed back to class
I was on my way to my locker when Nicole had showed up “Hey, how are you freak?” not answering him as I gave a cough
“What – can’t Matt even take care of you or was it he was busy taking care of the others?”
“What?” giving me the emotional impact
“Bye Luna” as she walked away leaving me with a bad feeling around
After school Matt were waiting for me in the parking lot and I don’t know how to tell him about Nicole.
“Hi babe” as he kissed me and take my bag
“You’re very much keeping me away from that mind” he said pertaining to the blocked mind link “You are very pissed”
“How’d you know?” asking him
“Because I can sense you and you have my mark”
“It’s nothing just that I do have a lot of homework to do”
“Oh don’t worry about it I’ll help you” sneezing again and he looked at me “I thought that colds got away”
“I don’t know but I think it’s going away soon” answering him as I wiped on my nose
“I’m not taking any chances Keira – I’ll take you to Luiz before we go home” driving in fast to Luiz
“Alpha – what service can I rend you?” Luiz welcoming us to his office
“I want you to check Keira” as Luiz made me sit on a chair
“What seems to be the problem?” Luiz looking at me
“Cough and colds plus sneezing” answering him
“That’s unusual, wolves don’t get easily get sick and when they do the maximum healing process is 2 hours” Luiz explaining
“It started in the morning and at lunch it got worse and now it’s not getting away” Matt answering him
“Well, we want that to be gone as much as possible so I’m giving you the best medicine so by the next hour it’ll be gone” Luiz then gave me a liquid in the bottle that tasted like I can’t describe it with the smell and sour taste
