Taylor's POV
After the night Harry almost kissed me or so I thought he would, I found myself getting closer to him than ever. This past few days we kind of established a routine where we'd leave the apartment early together, he'll drop me off the hospital before going to the studio and going back to pick me up hours later to have lunch (sometimes with Karlie) and when the night bites he'd be waiting for me until the ungodly hours and we'll take the long way home sometimes just drive around the city with retro music blasting from his speakers and both our windows rolled all the way down. It just happened and the both of us haven't talked about it but it's like a silent agreement between us and no one is complaining. I'm not complaining now, am I?
It's now almost lunch break and because the head of our department just got back, she let me off early today, that means I only have my shift up till lunch and a few minutes from now I'm out of here.
"It's unfair that you'll be staying just till lunch and you're free to go." Karlie pouts once I told her about it.
"I deserve that. I've had like a hundred operations and patients to handle when she's away enjoying vacation. I'll have the day to myself." I say.
"Well yeah. You'll have Harry and the day to yourself today that is." I threw the pencil I'm holding towards her and she's laughing. Wow.
I think the routine we had established gave Karlie more reasons to tease me, like I'm spending more and more time with Harry and her nosy ass can't stop asking and speculating what's going on. I guess the fact that Harry is gay wasn't enough to stop her from 'shipping' us together. Like what the hell does shipping even mean?
"Shut up already. You've been teasing me since last week."
"And you've been spending more and more time with him since last week. Like is living in the same roof with him not enough? The fans would be so jealous, they'd send death threaths to you Tay." She laughed.
"We haven't been seen much." I say.
"And you are lucky. Come on Tay you're not fooling me, you think I can't see how the both of you look at each other lately?" She scoffed.
"Karlie he's seeing someone. And how do we even look at each other lately?" I say in a sing song voice.
"He's seeing you." She mimicked my voice.
"I give up on this conversation. There is nothing I say that will convince you." I say in irritation.
"You are damn right about that." Then i felt my phone vibrate on my pocket, while fishing it out I can feel Karlie's knowing look burning on me.
But the call wasn't from Harry, it's from an unknown number. I even had to like shove my phone to Karlie's face to stop her from looking at me like that.
"Hello?" I say.
[Hi Taylor, it's Joe.] He greets.
"Oh, uhm hey,"
[Got your number from Selena, sorry I always forget to ask you.] He says shyly and I find it cute.
"It's fine. By the way why did you suddenly rang me up?" I asked because I know that he's too shy to even say anything else.
[Oh um, I'm just wondering if is it cool that I ask you to have lunch with me?] I smiled at him being so adorable. But even if I want to say yes, well who am I kidding I don't wanna say yes, and I'm kind of glad I can't say yes just yet.
"Lunch? I can't today. Sorry..." I answered truthfully, I can't cancel on Harry he'd be so mad at me for breaking our routine.
[Yeah, that's fine I was just wondering...] he started blabbering and I let out a chuckle.
