a very loud and nasty cough woke steve up in the middle of the night. he quickly got up from his couch and ran to tony's beside. he pulled away tony's grays hair and saw tony smiling at him.
"you okay tony?" steve asked with such a soft voice. steve was still young and strong while his good friend tony had already lived his whole life and now it was time.
"steve, i can feel it." steve could feel his heart stop. tony and steve were the last two avengers standing.
"no no, you're okay tony."
"really? don't lie to yourself steve. i'm fine fore tonight, just stay with me until i fall asleep okay?" tony coughed a bit but steve only nodded and sat back down on the couch just a few feet away from tony.

"tony?! tony!" steve called helplessly as he shook tony. he looked up at the machine which showed that tony no longer had a heartbeat.
"oh no, tony. please." he cried as he held onto his friend tightly. "please don't leave me." he cried.
