Fade Light and my best friend/editor Molly
CHAPTER 12; Hunters trap
SCAR'S POV;
"You know I've met a lot of pricks in my time but you my friend, are a cactus"
"Oh Sky, you're all death threats and sarcasm; but in the end, you're always gonna be the little girl you were the night of that party!"
"Shut up! Shut up! SHUT UP!" I lunge and tackle him to the ground, my fist retracts and my elbow bends; readying for the blow that I knew could knock out a few teeth or at least brake a nose.
Before I can finish him off, I'm in a headlock and unable to move without the potential click of my neck; the pain shoots through my neck and back causing me to quickly tap out before the black splotches that began to cover my vision, covey into a layer of fog that surrounds me in the darkness of unconsciousness.
I'm let go and dropped to the ground, I quickly shield my face with my hands and land with a 'thud' on the blue mats.
"I knew... I should not... Have agreed to... This" I pant through ragged breaths, "you... Told me you would go... Easy on me" I look up at Jamie's light grey eyes with a glare situated in my fiery gaze.
"Yes well, it's the only way I can actually teach you how to defend yourself" his chocolate brown hair shines from the sweat that drips from his forehead and his sharp cheek bones glisten in the heavy lead lights. All in all he was a beautiful man.
"You know... If I wanted to study the mats every five seconds, I would have gotten mum and dad to drop me on my head a second time round so my clumsiness could take hold of my body more than it already has, 3 years ago!"
"If you did let that happen, you most likely wouldn't be here. Now, suicides up and back" I groan and let my head fall back to the mat, before I'm able to move; Jamie pulls me up and situate's me at the other end of the mats.
"You know I can walk right?" I glare at him but he ignores it, as usual.
"Go!" I tip backwards at his out roar and begin to sprint, up and back, keeping my eye on the clock above the spectating seats.
By the third end I'm panting and sweating like no tomorrow, my calf's ache and my muscles protest like kids would on Halloween when one house answers the door but doesn't give them anything.
"You know.... This may... Be the first... Suicide run... To actually... End in a.... Suicide!" By the time I get that out I'm face first into the ground; heaving for air I look up at the clock, 'five minutes yes!'. I'm pulled up from the ground again and I look to see Jamie examining me, I smile; before I can act upon saving my face or ass, 'I'm never sure how I'll land' , I'm already on the ground, cheek first, flat on my ass; AGAIN!
Pain shoots through my bum bone and I groan, rubbing the sore area and pointing my glare at Jamie.
"What 'exactly' was that for?!" He shrugs and moves to put the equipment we used back into their original places, suddenly an idea pops into my brain and I silently get to my bare feet, as quiet as a ninja; I move up behind Jamie and pounce on his back, but him being the fricken ninja he is, turns just in time and grabs my foot, twisting it and pinning me to the ground.
"How?! How the hell did you know?!" I try my best to look at him from my pinned state.
"You weren't complaining, that's very unusual for you; Ive resorted to purposely duck taping you're lips just so I can think " I scramble underneath him, trying my best to move out of his tight grip but fail.
