I was a whole new person who had a crap ton of drama. As I started a new relationship with Archie, I thought about Veronica and Jughead every minute of my life. I knew they were safe now and that Archie wouldn't hurt them since he got what he wanted, but now I think back in the past and ask myself...What did I want?
I was back on the cheerleading team, soon stealing Cheryl's spot as head of the River Vixens since she had given up. Turns out she had a thing with a Serpent and her mother didn't approve of it at all! With the two of them leaving Riverdale High, I became the popular girl in high school.
"Practice is over for the day Vixens!" I announced to the cheerleaders, getting my gym bag from the bleachers.
"Mind joining me at Pop's?" A familiar voice caught my ears, making me turn around quickly.
"And why should I join you?" I scoffed, throwing my gym bag over my shoulder.
"I just wanna talk B...like old times." Veronica referred to earlier when we used to hang out together all the time, catching up at Pop's like two regular besties.
I let out a small sigh before turning around to face towards her. "After school...be there." I made my way out of the gym, caught in the arms of Archie Andrews.
My body was pushed up against the lockers as he kissed me roughly. My eyes drifted away towards him, seeing Jughead in the hallway passing by. I pushed Archie off me, going towards my next class.

"What's up?" Veronica and I sat across from each other as we sipped on a couple of milkshakes.
"You and Archie are back together...how's that going?" She asked me with her arms crossed, resting back into her seat.
"Great, thanks for asking." I replied simply with a smile. "You have your eyes on anybody yet?"
"No, I don't...I'm just lurking around I guess." Veronica said with a small laugh as I shook my head in response.
"Veronica, you're a hot cheerleader with guys who are always chasing after you! Give it a chance."
"Oh really Betty? Give it a chance? Sounds like the same advice I gave you, right?"
She left me in silence before I had the courage to say something. "No, I'm just giving friendly advice that's all Veronica." I flashed her a small smile, receiving an eye roll from Veronica.
"Cut the bullshit Betty, you know what the hell I said! Don't ruin other people's lives just because yours is fucked up!"
"Veronica, there's no need to go there. I can cut you off the Vixens in a quick second, so I'd stop right there if I were you—"
"Fuck the River Vixens! Where's my best friend?! I don't see her right now...I don't think I'm gonna see her ever again."
"Veronica what the hell are you talking about?! You and Jughead aren't my friends anymore, you're not a part of my life so stop trying to come up with a sick way to get into it!"
"Fine! It's not like I ever needed you anyway in my life Betty!"
Buzz! Buzz!
"Shit!" I yelled out loudly, turning off my annoying phone alarm. My body felt like I'd been hit by a bus when I woke up, I was lucky enough to even get a nap. Assuming it was from cheer practice, I picked up my phone, checking the time as I got ready to meet up with Veronica.

The bell rang on the door as I walked into Pop's, seeing the raven-haired cheerleader in a booth. I smiled at the sight of her, not getting to do so since I've been spending more time with Archie.
"Betty—" I hugged her tightly, crying into her shoulder as I felt her arms soon wrap around me.
"I'm so sorry." I sobbed while wiping away my tears quickly. "Betty, it's okay. I'm here now, you're okay."
"I should've listened to you and now I'm stuck in this horrible place—"
I felt her grab my hands, stopping me from saying another word. "Tell me everything B."
I sat down with Veronica, spilling every single detail to her so she could help me find a way out of this mess. "Damn, I wish you came to me sooner."
"I couldn't...I'm not even supposed to be here with you right now, Arch would kill me..."
"Right now, you're safe with me." Veronica told me, putting her hand on top of mine as I gave her a smile.
"Thank you V...really. I've backstabbed you a bunch of times and you're still there for me...I missed my Veronica for a while." I joked before pulling her into a hug.
"I've missed my Betty too." I heard her say, making me giggle. "Now let's go make a plan, shall we?"
B and V we're back at it again! I felt relieved once I had one of my friends back on my side, but I still didn't feel fully alive until I had Jughead. He was my other half, my rock, my shoulder to cry on...
I needed Jughead Jones.
