Hunter's POV
I walk to Syd's house in a tuxedo and roses in my hand. Brandon helped me clean up. The bags under my eyes weren't as prominent as they used to be. My hair looked better than I expected. I walk slow, trying to figure out how I was supposed to convince Syd to go on a date with me after all the shit I put her through. Every conversation I've gone through in my head ends with her saying no. Minus the ones that ended with a happy ever after, but those were just me hoping for the best.
"I'm just gonna march up to the door and ask her to go on a date with me," I whisper to myself as I turn onto her block and smile when I find her and someone else outside on the front porch. I couldn't make out the person next to her since I was so far away but I guessed it had to be Alex. I finally reach the house, I look down, straighten out my suit before looking back up. Joey's lips were on Syd's, her fingers locked in his hair. I could feel my heart break. I drop the flower and run up the road and back to my house. Tears stain my cheeks and blur my vision.
You deserve this, Hunter. You cheated and she moved on. Let her move on. She doesn't want you.
"What'd she- what's wrong?" My mom questions as she looks at me puffy eyes. I can't even make out the words before the room gets dark and I hit the floor.
