Chapter 13

Sydney's POV
I look up to see a lady. "Did you not see the sign? Stay on the trail. Get out." She says in a weird accent. My cheeks turn bright red in embarrassment. Zach helps me out of the water and we walk over to a hill. He lays down and I lay next to him. He wraps his arm around me and pulls me close. I smile up at him. He goes to kiss me but my phone rings from a FaceTime call. I answer it as I cuddle into Zach's chest. "Woah what's happening here?" The person on the phone says. My eyes widen and I jump up. Hunter.
Hunter's POV
I call Sid to see if her and Zach were becoming friends. She answers and I see her cuddling with Zach. "Woah what's happening here?" I ask. I wanted to cry. My goal was for Sid to have someone to talk to in a Tennessee. Not to hook her up with him. Her eyes widen and she jumps up. "Hey Hunter." She says nervously. I hang up on her and throw my phone. Tears stream down my face. My phone rings but I let it ring. I know its Sid. She keeps calling. I grab my phone and text Zach.
Me: What the hell did you do with Sid?
Zach😂: We kissed? Wait are you two a thing?
Me: no. We aren't. But I was going to... never mind. It doesn't matter now
Zach😂: well I doubt she'll want to talk to me anymore. She ran home crying.
Me: just stay away from her
He doesn't text back after that. I call Sid and she answers. "Hu- Hunter it wa- was all a mist-ake. I shouldn't ha- have kissed h- him. I like you. Not h-him." She says as she sobs. "Sid don't cry." I say feeling bad for getting mad. "I ca-can't help it. I-I-I screwed stuff up between us." She says. "Sid it's ok." I say having the urge to hug her. "I'm s-s-sorry." "It's fine Sid. As long as the kiss didn't mean anything to you." I say. She nods. "It meant nothing." She says as her crying slowed. "God I just want to hug you."  She sighs. I laugh.
Sid's POV
I hear a knock on the door. "Hold on let me get the door." I tell Hunter. I put my phone down and wipe my face. Then I walk downstairs and open the door. My mouth drops. I hug Hunter tightly. Yes. Hunter as in Hunter Rowland. Was standing outside my door. "What are you doing here?" I ask with a huge smile on my face. "I'm doing something I should've done a long time ago." He smiles picking me up by my waist and carrying me to my room upstairs. I look at him confused. "Will you be my girlfriend?" He asks. I look at him in disbelief. "Seriously?" I ask smiling. He nods. "YES!" I smile hugging him tightly. He pulls out his phone and takes a picture of us on Snapchat. He captions it: Meet my girlfri- 🙈🙊❤️. I smile. He smiles back at me. My phone starts blowing up.

I look back at the last one. Zach. Shit.
