Backstory: She was the heir to the throne of Agrabah, but then she fell in love with Aladdin and she ran away with him, leaving the throne to her younger sister, Jasmine. When he cut his savior ties, she still didn't leave him and she stayed by his side until the both of them were taken by Regina's curse. In the curse, she didn't remember him, she didn't remember who she was. She opened up a jewelry store, unknowingly using the jewelry techniques she learned in Agrabah in her business. When Emma arrived, she became friends with her, and they both found a common enemy in Regina. When the curse was broken, she searched for Aladdin, and when she finally found him, she never left his side.
Trivia:
• Though she prefers to stay out of a fight, she's willing to fight if it means protecting her friends.
• During the curse, Regina was trying to close down Jewel's store. No one really knows why.
• She and Aladdin help everyone in their adventures. They're there with them at Neverland, with Zelena, Dark Swan, everything.
• She is in no hurry to return to Agrabah. Especially since Aladdin proposes to her not long after they return from Neverland.
