My heart was beating out of my chest.
The tensity between me and Colby was worsening, as he was seemingly waiting for me to ask.
He held the glass of wine between his fingers and was twirling it around. I decided to down the whole glass of wine..

And "loosen up".

"Okay.. how long is this deal?" I eventually ask. Colby turns around and leans against the railing of the balcony. He inhaled deeply and looked down into the glass of wine. I stood, still looking out over the horizon. It calmed me down a bit.

"A lifetime"

I think I feel sick all of a sudden. The horizon totally lost it's purpose.

"Say what now?!" I shout at him. Colby made me quiet down, and brought me back inside where I could throw the real tantrum. I'll be stuck with a demon for the rest of my goddamn life?

"I didn't agree to that—"
"Yes you did. You agreed, however maybe too quickly" Colby admitted. I grit my teeth together and felt how an overwhelming anger took over. I almost lashed out at a demon, but I managed to calm down before I made a stupid mistake like that.

"I'm not enforced to tell you about the length of the deal, Sam. I forgot to tell you about it" Colby admitted. He seemed sorry about it, however I haven't heard an apology yet. I curse under my breath and sighed heavily.

"But a whole lifetime..?"

Colby looked down at his feet. I could see he was thinking about something, which made me worried and kinda scared.

"The deal is up till either you or I die" Colby admitted. He sipped some of the wine and turned to look back at me. I haven't drunken much before so I was a little dizzy. But I understood the situation.

"Just great! A lifelong life with you by my side- a demon capable of possessing and entering churches by my side" I say. Clearly frustrated about all this. Suddenly, Colby was right in front of me. I don't really remember him taking steps towards me - but I'm not that surprised. Considering what he was. He sips more of his wine while looking at me, then downs it and places the empty glass on a counter close to us.

"So you still think all demons are bad?" He asked suddenly. I swallow. I have only known him for two days, is it that weird?

"Yeah! Especially this!" I say, and reach out with my arms by my sides mentioning it towards the whole situation we are in. Colby scrunched his nose and suddenly, I felt two cold hands - however they weren't his - grab ahold of my wrists. I was paralyzed where I stood, and looked into Colby's eyes which were now filled with anger.

"Listen" He starts. Obviously I will, now when he's got my full attention. Scary.
"If you say one more time.. that this is all bad... I may as well end the deal. But end your friends too. Choose yourself" He states. Then those cold mysterious hands let go of my wrists and I look down. Nothing.

I then look up again and I spot Colby pouring another glass of wine to himself. Refusing to look at me. Why did that hurt? Maybe he's.. not an evil demon after all. I'm still alive.. but he could kill my friends anytime soon if I don't behave. He's giving me a chance to save my friends and the house, and look at what I'm doing.

I'm hurting the wrong person. Because of a deal.

"Fine. I'm sorry okay? But you are aware that you're a creature any human fear. I just. I'm conflicted about this" I explain gently. No response. However when I looked up, he met my eyes and nodded. That was all.

Please don't tell me I'm sharing my emotions with a demon.
I'd rather share my feelings with a clown than with a demon.
Dammit Sam.

Dammit..
