(Oh would ya look at this. An update ;0)
Sam's P.O.V
Everything was dark.. and blurry. I can almost hear faint voices, but.. none that I could recognize.
It sounded far away.. some laughing and some crying. Where's Colby? I need to ask him where I am.I push upwards, only to find that it was actually quite easy to get up. My floating body easily floated up and into a standing position. My head looked around, and the floor was wet.. weird.
"Colbyy!" I scream out. But nobody answered me. The only thing answering me was my voice echoing back at me countless times. Where the hell am I?! I start to walk. The cries, the laughters, the chit chat.. it all got closer and closer. But the room was still pitch black, and the floor was still wet by water. Everything creeped me out, and I cannot remember what happened before waking up in this weird dimension.
Soon, I could see something in the dark distance. A man, wearing a robe. Do I recognize him?
I felt a breath down my neck, which caused me to shriek. Whatever stood up in front of me, had now turned around and spotted me. I was right, I do recognize him. Brennen, was his name, right?"Why are.. you here? Of all people?" Brennen slowly asked. He started to float towards me. His feet not touching the watery floor. I got extremely nervous the closer he came, remembering how he threatened Colby in the real world. So if he's here.. have I travelled to the underworld?
"I.. was chanting some phrases to get rid of the first ghost in my house— and I ended up here. W-where am I?" I asked. I met with the demon's eyes, and Brennen sighed.
"You're in the world between yours and the underworld. If you chanted to get rid of a spirit in your house, you have to find that ghost and bring him to our world immediately" Brennen said strictly. As he starts to float away, I realized I had no idea how to continue.
"Wait!" I call out. The demon stops for the time being, back faced towards me.
"What?" He asked, not facing me still.I nervously fidgeted with my shirts sleeves and inhaled sharply.
"I don't know how to do that.. Colby only taught me how to get them away from our house.." I admitted. Brennen puts a hand onto his forehead and rubs his temples, then turns around to face me."Colby really is useless.. isn't he. Very well, I'll teach you the rest. Find the spirit"
"How do I know which one is.. right?" I asked. Brennen just looked at me as if I was a baby that he was babysitting."You'll feel a specific energy. It's clung to you, so it shouldn't be that hard" Brennen explained. I looked around the atmosphere I was in. I couldn't see the spirits, but I felt them. My feet automatically starts to walk one direction. Until I stopped, hearing a girl's voice call my name.
"Saaam.."
Oh holy shit.
Chills just went through my whole body."I'm here.." I managed to say. Soon, I could feel that energy from the girl's spirit closing in. She was a grown woman, and as soon as she had reached me, she made herself visible.
She was wearing a white dress, and her ginger hair was put up in a nice ponytail. She was beautiful.. but you could also see how she died. There's a big, gaping and bleeding hole right through her stomach. I furrowed my brows.
"Emily?" I asked with hesitation. The ghost nodded. It was one of the ghosts that had reached out to me during a ouija board session when I first started the 3 A.M challenges. Incredible."Let's get you back home, Emily" I say assuringly. Emily doesn't say or do anything, but I could tell she knew what I meant. She followed me back to Brennen, who then looked pleased due to the fact I had found her. He then chanted something that I could remember till next time.
"Without skin and bones, but with a soul of sin. Please enter this portal, and transfer in"
A green-like portal opens up behind Brennen. I was almost awe struck by what just happened. The woman starts to float towards this portal, and once she was in, the portal closed and disappeared."Wow.." I utter. Brennen sighed.
"You remember the words? Those are all you have to say in order to bring them back" Brennen told me. I looked at him for a long time, still chocked over the whole incident. He rolled his eyes."O-oh.. Yeah! I'll remember them.. but. That was awesome" I admitted. Brennen sighed once again, which seemed to be his signature move or something.
"Go back to that useless demon now" Brennen said. Then snapped with his fingers.
And everything became dark again.
"Sam! Sam wake up dammit!"
Was I hearing voices again? Great. Maybe I'm doomed to be stuck in this stupid—"Sam" I heard. That was not a voice similar to the ones I had heard. That was Colby's voice. My eyes slowly but surely flutters open and Corey, Aaron, Devyn and Jake was all hovering above me. Colby as well. It took some time to register what was going on, but soon enough I realized and shot up from the ground - still remaining the sitting position.
"Took you long enough" Colby simply said. I stared at him, and so did the others as well. Finding that comment extremely rude. But looking at Colby, I could tell he was actually worried. I could tell.
"How are you? What happened?" Corey asked. The other's patiently waiting for an answer.
"Well.. the ghost is gone.." I started, making small eye contact with Colby to ask if it was okay to share what had just happened. He shook his head no, so I came up with this instead."You know when you faint, you have weird ass dreams? I had a weird ass dream, that's all" I admitted. Colby seemed satisfied with that answer. Corey sighed, relieved that I was alright. So was Devyn, Jake and Aaron as well.
"At least now, one of the ghosts are gone once and for all" Colby spoke up. The other's suspiciously looking at him.
"How do you know?" Aaron suddenly asked. My heart started to beat nervously.
Colby sighed gently."I know. The chant's he did usually works. I mean, one spirit gone won't be that noticeable- but after a while of doing these chants, you'll realize it's effect" Colby mentioned. He helped me stand back up, and the other's stood back up straight as well. I dusted my clothes off a little and sighed.
"I mean, he fainted.. so it must've worked.." Corey whispered to Aaron. Aaron shrugged his shoulders, being just as confused as most here.
"May I speak with Sam, alone?" Colby suddenly asked. The rest of the roommates seemed hesitant to answer that, but in the end they nod and leaves us be alone for a little bit.
Colby did a hand movement, and now, our conversation was completely isolated. Only we could hear it. This magic seemed to be quite cool, even if I know it's dark magic.
"How did it go? In the dimension?" Colby asked. I stared at him angrily.
"It went well, but you could've told me that it was going to happen! I had to be helped by Brennen—"Colby's eyes darkened.
"Brennen helped you?"I swallowed nervously.
"Y-Yeah.." I whispered. Colby sighed and his darkened eyes returned back to normal."I guess it couldn't be helped since you didn't know what to do- but don't rely on him again, Sam.. he heavily dislikes humans.." Colby explained. I swallowed and nodded. Colby sighed and started to think about something. But he didn't say what he was thinking of.
"Anyway, maybe it's time for us to return back. After doing such a session, being in a haunted place where spirits suck energy to become stronger— is not a wise option" Colby explained. I agreed with him, I almost felt sick just standing in the house. He made the isolation barrier disappear and the roommates enter the room again.
"Seems like it's best for us to head back" I started explaining to them. Devyn hugged me, and so did Aaron. Corey and Jake just looked at me sadly.
"I promise this will be over soon" I assured. Colby then started walking towards the front doors, and I joined after him. I wonder if they found this whole moment suspicious or not. I wish I could tell them who Colby really was- but I can't. And they'd be terrified forever, especially Corey. Who doesn't want to think that demons are real.
How chaotic everything is starting to become..
