(Y/N)'s POV

"All of the guys are coming?!" I exclaimed. The Schuyler sister nervously nodded. I groaned.
"Why would you invite them?" I asked.
"They wanted to come so I sent them the address," Angelica said. I rolled my eyes and sighed.
"Fine, I don't even care," I stated. "As long as I don't have to come into contact with John then it doesn't matter. The other guys better apologize though!"
"Don't worry, I know they will," Eliza assured. I nodded.
"So where are we meeting them?" Peggy asked.
"Down by the ocean! It's hot outside and I want to take a dip," Angelica said.
"But I don't have a bathing suit," I acknowledged. Peggy scoffed.
"Have you learned nothing? We'll buy you one!" Peggy laughed as she dragged me to another store. The sisters went to work once again, only this time, they were trying to find me a cute bathing suit. Angelica called the other two girls over to her. I think they found one... The three girls brought me to the dressing rooms and handed me the bathing suit. It was nothing too crazy. It was just an all black bikini. I put it on and realized that I looked stellar in this bathing suit. Eliza threw a semi-see-through shawl over the top of my door. I wrapped that around my waist and tied it on the side. I stepped out of the stall and into the sisters' view. I could've sworn I saw tears of pride well up in their eyes. Another group hug took place. They paid for the bathing suit, I took off the tag, and we all headed for the beach. I could see the guys waiting for us. I waved to get their attention. They seemed confused at first, but when we got closer they seemed to realize who we were. All of their faces turned bright red. Lafayette immediately went over to compliment Peggy on her bathing suit. That's adorable. Hercules also made his way over to Angelica. Those two seem super cute together, I thought. Alex, his face bright red, stared at Eliza for a few more moments before shaking his head and walking over to her. I hope my brother doesn't screw that up, they would be amazing together. That's when I realized that the only people left were me and...
    ...
    John...
I look over at him. His cheeks were dusted red as he stared back at me. I blushed, however, I held myself together. I needed to remind myself that he was not a good person. No matter how much I wanted to be near him, I turned away. I'm glad I couldn't see the sadness on his face as I walked away from him. That face would've broken me, I admitted. I, instead, walked over to Alex and Eliza. I tapped Alex on the shoulder. When he first turned around, he smiled, but then he noticed my bathing suit. Oh no...
"(Y/N)!! What are you wearing?! That is not suitable attire for a young woman like yourself!" Alex ran to grab a towel. When he came back, he wrapped the towel around me. I looked at Eliza and laughed.
"What are you two laughing at? Showing too much skin is no laughing matter!" Alex exclaimed. We burst into laughter once more. Alex rolled his eyes and walked away. I took the towel off and put it back. My brother may be EXTREMELY over-protective, but I still love him. I started to talk to Eliza when she seemed to notice something.
"Don't look now, but John will not stop staring at you," Eliza confided. I laughed.
"Thank you for the intel, but I really don't care," I began. "Yeah, I do still like him, but what he did was wrong and he needs to learn to stay loyal. And it's kinda funny to watch guys squirm." Eliza laughed.
"I find your confidence inspiring," she giggled. "Now, how about we go in the water?" I nodded and took off my shawl. When we got to the edge, we stood there for a moment. The water was cold, but it wasn't that bad. We quickly submerged our bodies so we could get used to the water's temperature. Eliza was shivering, so I decided to splash her to help her get used to the cold. She scowled at me and splashed me back. The two of us got into a splash war. Our friends noticed and, one by one, started to join in. I laughed at everyone getting splashed in the face. That was when Peggy decided to splash me in the face. I growled and tackled her. I ended up on her shoulders. We looked at each other and yelled,
"CHICKEN FIGHT!" Everyone looked toward us with a menacing smile. Eliza got on Angelica's shoulders and began to battle me and Peggy. I, obviously, prevailed and pushed Eliza down. She took Angelica with her.
"Who dares challenge the great and powerful (Y/N) and her trusty steed, Peggy?!" I exclaimed. Lafayette rushed onto Hercules's shoulders and charged at us. I smiled as I easily pushed the two to the ocean floor.
"This dynamic duo cannot be defeated by any mear mortals!" I laughed maniacally with Peggy. That's when I saw John climb onto Alex's shoulders. I can't back down now, I thought as I put my feelings aside. Peggy looked at me questionably. I nodded and she smiled. We made our way over to the other two and started to fight. I came face to face with John. He really put up a fight. John and Alex were not as easy to beat as the others. However, I was not about to lose to both Alex and John. It was my bubbling anger that led me to victory. I gathered up all of my strength and gave a final shove to John's chest. He tipped backward and took Alex with him. I put my fist in the air, signaling that I was the champion of this chicken fight. No, this chicken war. I had defeated all of my enemies and left them in a daze. I hopped off of Peggy's shoulders and celebrated our hard-earned win. Everyone else clapped as I made my way toward the towels. I was exhausted, but it was all worth it. We all got out of the water and dried off. Everyone made their way to the bathrooms to take a quick shower and change. I put my red dress back on since no one but the girls saw it. I gathered my things and walked outside. I saw Lafayette and Hercules waiting by a lemonade stand. I smiled and walked over. When I got to them, Hercules turned red and Lafayette chocked on his drink. I blushed at the attention.
"W-Wow, (Y/N)... You look beautiful in that dress," Lafayette said.
"Why, thank you," I replied. I remembered that I had won the Great Chicken War. I used that as an excuse to make them buy me a frozen lemonade. As I sipped on the sweet and sour slushee, Hercules began to speak.
"Hey, I wanted to apologize for allowing John to lead you on like that. It was inconsiderate of us." Hercules apologized. Lafayette nodded.
"Yeah, we're really sorry," Lafayette added. I smiled.
"It's alright guys," I said. "Thank you for apologizing." They smiled at me. I felt someone tap me on the shoulder. I looked behind me to see the sisters.
"Hey (Y/N)!" The three said together.
    "Oh, hey Hercules!" Angelica waved.
"Hey, Lafayette!" Peggy said. I laughed at the two trying to be smooth about their crushes. It was cute, yet painfully obvious. Alex and John approached.
"Hey, guys!" Alex greeted the group.
"Where are we going to go now?" John questioned. I rolled my eyes. Did he even read the texts in the group chat?
"We're going to the amusement park!" Eliza said with pure innocence and excitement. Alex smiled at how happy she was. Eliza flushed with embarrassment. We all laughed and made our way over to the park. We did pass a few games on the way so we had to stop and play! I won a basketball shooting contest against the guys and won a huge stuffed llama. Alex won Eliza a stuffed hamster. Hercules won Angelica a stuffed donut. Lafayette even won Peggy a goldfish! I'll say that the fish lives for about three days tops... I was too busy wondering who would plan the fish funeral to notice that my friends were walking away. I soon shook my head and re-entered reality. I looked around to find that my friends were nowhere in sight. Maybe they're already at the rides, I thought. I started to make my way towards the park. I checked my surroundings every now and then to make sure they weren't still on the boardwalk. Once I made it to the rides, I noticed that the park wasn't busy at all. I'll find them in no time! I began my search. I decided to buy some credits for rides, just in case, I got bored while looking.

~•~

It's funny how fast I got bored of looking. I had already gotten be on five rides! I wasn't going to waste time looking for my friends. If they were really worried about me, they would've called. I continued my quest to ride all of the rides.

Eliza's POV

"So, how are we going to get (Y/N) and John to make up?" Angelica asked. We all thought for a while until I smiled.
"Well, right now, (Y/N) is trying to ride all of the rides," I start. "Peggy told me that (Y/N) has a fear of getting stuck high up so she'll probably save the tall rides for last. Knowing (Y/N) myself, I have a feeling that she'll save the Ferris Wheel for last since it is most likely to get stuck. We'll wait until she gets to that ride. She's only one person so they'll ask for any single riders. That's when John comes in. He'll say that he's a single rider and they'll let him ride. (Y/N) will already be in the little box so by the time she sees John, they'll already be on the ride together!"
"What if she just doesn't go on the Ferris Wheel?" John asked. Peggy laughed.
"I know how (Y/N) is. She won't stop until she has endured every single ride in this park, no matter how scary," Peggy stated. "That's just how she is. Very, very stubborn."
"This plan is full proof! I know it!" Eliza exclaimed.
"Alright then! Operation 'Make John and (Y/N) Friends Again' is a go!" Angelica stated. Everyone nodded and went their own ways.

(Y/N)'s POV

I had finished all of the easy rides. Now, it's time for the tall ones, I thought. I took a deep breath and made my way to the taller rides.

~•~

Those weren't so bad, I thought. I had finished every ride! I took one last look around the whole park. That's when my eyes landed on it. A Ferris Wheel... I shook my head and started to make my way over to the Wheel of Pure Horror. I stood in line, dreading every step that brought me closer to the Spinning Circle of Death. That was when I finally made it to the entrance. I told the staff member that I was a single rider. He took my credits and let me into the Tiny Box of Depression. I sat down and kept my eyes shut. I heard the staff member call for any single riders. I didn't understand why I couldn't just get through this alone, however, I shrugged it off. I heard a male voice yell,
"I'll go!" That voice sounds familiar, I thought. The man approached the box, came in, and sat down. I opened my eyes to see who I was riding with. A furious flame erupted in my eyes as I saw who the man was. They planned this, didn't they?! I immediately got up to leave the ride, but the door was already shut. The ride had started to move. I started to panic. Carefully, I made it back to my seat, held on to the sides, closed my eyes, and hoped for the best.

Why must I do this to myself...?
