Ch.17: Yes !

Lauren POV

"Will you be my girlfriend?" He asked.

I stood there shocked and speechless. Am I dreaming? Am I even ready for a relationship?

"I-it's okay if you don't want to," He said quite awkwardly, noticing I was hesitant.

"No, it's not that, I'm just surprised. Yes, I'll be your girlfriend," I stated with a smile. I felt so tingly and happy saying those words.

His whole face brightened. "Seriously?!"

I giggled. "Yes."

"Chyeah!"

I giggled again and observed how happy he was. Just like I am. We just sat there, looking at each other with a smile. Might sound awkward, but it really wasn't.

"So .. Should I walk you home now?" He asked.

I looked at the time and nodded. We stood up and he grabbed my hand. It wasn't the first time we held hands, but it still made me happy. On the way home, we were talking about random things, laughing at lame jokes and whatnot.

"One more thing," Zelo said when we reached my house.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Promise me you'll tell me everything and not keep secrets from me. I'll be honest to you as well," He stated.

"That doesn't need to be told. Once you're in a relationship with someone, you already know you have to be honest to them, don't you think?" I said. He nodded.

"And one more thing on top of that," He said.

I giggled. "Now what?"

"That I'll see you tomorrow," He quickly pecked my cheek and ran off quickly before I could say more.

I stood there for a bit, smiling to myself like an idiot then went inside.

"You look extra cheerful today," Umma commented. I chuckled slightly and nodded.

"It's that .. me and Junhong are dating already."

"Really?" She exclaimed happily.

"What?!" Exclaimed my dad as he dropped the newspaper he was reading.

"Aish, be happy she's dating a good boy," Umma turned to my father.

"He caused her harm."

"But he didn't mean it. Anyways, tell me everything that happened!" My mom exclaimed. I nodded in a agreement and we headed upstairs so we could talk about it.

The next day, I headed to the band hall which was now my second home now that I joined the band. I was sitting down, practicing the flute until I felt a tap on the shoulder.

"Oh. Hey Jongup," I smiled. He smiled back and sat down next to me.

"Hi Zelo's girlfriend."

I blushed at his statement but someone interrupted.

"What did you call her?!" Jessica yelled all of a sudden. Woah, chill.

"Uh .. Zelo's girlfriend?" Jongup repeated.

Jessica only gave me a glare, then went to go sit back down. That glare told me she's not going to stay with her arms crossed. What could she be planning?

"Are you okay?" Jongup asked.

"Y-yeah."

"If anything's wrong, you can always talk to me," He smiled brightly. Oh, Jongup.
