Ch.20: Lies.

Lauren POV

"So .. how do you hold this saxophone again?" Jongup asked, holding my flute like a clarinet.

We were in the band hall, practicing before classes started. I giggled and shook my head.

"It's a flute, and that's not how you hold it," I positioned the instrument properly.

"Ohh," He said, smiling to himself.

"Yah, you!" I heard a yell.

"What do you want?" I asked Jessica coldly.

"Oh, I don't want anything.. I'm here to warn you."

I scoffed. "About what?"

"Junhong is mine, he doesn't like you, you never mattered to him. And what's worse is that .. he's going to break up with you pretty soon," She said with a sarcastic apologetic voice.

I shook my head. "You're such a lie."

"Don't tell me I didn't warn you, you pathetic little thing," She hissed.

I stood up and stomped my foot. "Yah! Leave me alone and keep your negativity to yourself!"

"Zelo loves Lauren, he would never do such things you're saying," Jongup told her.

Jessica looked at him and laughed. "What would you know? You're just as retarded .. as this little girl. That thinks Zelo would ever look at her," She made a face at me.

She's looking for it. She really is. Jongup knew what would happen next so he held my arm.

"Leave her alone. Think whatever you'd like, but leave Lauren alone."

She shook her head at me and walked away, as if she knew what she was doing and she's sure she's right. She's not right at all.. Zelo does like me, right?

"Don't listen to her, she's jealous," Jongup told me. I nodded and the bell rang, letting us know we had to get to class.

"Are you okay Lauren? You haven't even touched your food," Zelo interrupted my thoughts at lunch. I looked up at him and he had worry written all over his face.

"I'm fine. It's just that .. Jessica decided to ruin my day again, but that's all," I replied.

"What did she tell you?" He asked.

"That you don't like Lauren.. that you were going to break up with her, and many more lies," Jongup responded for me. I nodded in agreement.

"I'd never do that. Jongup said so, she told you many more lies. Don't listen to her .. Lauren I love you," He hugged me tightly.

I felt his warmth and hugged him back, not willing to let go. "I love you too."

He pulled away and looked at me in the eye. "Listen, I promised I'd never hurt you. And that I'll protect you. Nothing like that is going to happen, I promise."

I smiled and nodded. Jessica isn't able to destroy our relationship, we're too strong. Or, are we?

After lunch, Zelo walked me to my class and he told me to meet him at the cafe in the afternoon, and I agreed and went into my class.

Zelo POV

It was a boring class day, and it seemed like hours before I could see Lauren again. When I got home from school, I helped my mom with chores and as soon as it turned 6:00PM, I got ready to meet Lauren at the cafe.
