Ch.22: Saved.

I've been so busy I almost forgot to update ._. I'm Sowy >.<

First day of high school went terrible, today, it was okay ... I had homework, but it could be worse .

On my way home from the coffee shop, I heard my name being called. Perhaps Zelo?

I turned around and no, it was Jongup, running up to me with a letter in his hand.

"Lauren! I, I know, what happened," He said between breaths.

"Take a deep breath," I said. He inhaled, then exhaled.

"Can you talk more clearly now?" I asked. He nodded, handing me the letter.

"Look, all this is Jessica's doing. You'll understand when you read that letter, and when you meet up with Zelo on the day he said so," Jongup stated.

"But .. how? If this is all Jessica's doing, then why had he told me he didn't like me anymore and all that?" I asked.

"Zelo should tell you that, but just know, he's not allowed to be near you for your own safety. That is, for now. Hopefully, you two can be together again soon," Jongup replied.

"I'm lost .. " I said in confusion. I really don't know what's going on, why are things going this way.

All I know is, I love him, and I should fight for him. And to believe he still feels the same way about me. All these confusions, shall clear up soon.

"Now, go home and read the letter. And another thing, stay far away from Jessica," He said.

"Um, okay," was all I said, saying bye to him and heading home.

I went to my room and opened the letter, and it was Junhong's handwriting indeed.

' Dear Lauren,

Your phone is off, so you have me here writing to you like it's the 90's or something ..

I can't be near you right now. I can't tell you through this letter, perhaps it's too risky. Please meet me after school tomorrow, in the band hall. I have lots of explaining to do.

Just know that, I love no one but you. You love me too, right? Then, let's fight for our love and never separate.

Have faith in me. And don't be sad, I want you to smile, no matter what happens.

I still can't figure out why he can't be near me, or how Jessica is involved in this. Yes, I had seen them both together but what exactly is she doing to make Zelo stay away from me? But, in the letter, he says he doesn't want to be away, I don't get.

This is harder than algebra.

The thing is, it was a lie what he had told me at the coffee shop, and he didn't want to separate.

I sighed, feeling dumb to have not had faith in him, or maybe, trust, which I thought I had. He had trusted me when he saw Himchan kissing me by force, because I know other boyfriends would be stupid enough to believe their girl was actually cheating. Or, maybe the girl was doing wrong then, but that wasn't my situation.

Yet, he had laughed, and told me all those things, straight from his mouth. Perhaps he was threatened to do so? It's the only logic. But if only we could be happy, without anyone, anyone wishing to destroy us.
