-3 days later-
i havent talked or seen luke for 3 days now. he'd always come late to our english class and when the bell rings he immediately jumps out of his seat and leaves.
i know he is still on the top with the "populars" though. he's the talk of the whole school, but it doesn't bother me at all.
okay maybe it does bother me a little. it's just because im worried about my friends. ashton is still mad at luke, calum is upset over it, and michael remains emotionless about this whole thing. i'm guessing michael just doesn't want to get into these things, he's smart.
i didn't tell them that luke lied. i didn't want to upset them anymore then they are now. i was really hoping luke would come clean about this whole thing and come back to us, but he hasnt.
and it's killing me.
i walk inside the lunch area and sit at are usual table group. ashton sits alone. i sit down next to him and he smiles.
"hey. how've you been?" he kindly asks. i shrug and take out my lunch from my backpack. he sighs rubs his temples.
"i know it's hard. it's all hard on us that luke left. and i tried talking to him, but he pushes me away." he says, frowning. i look at him and take a deep breath.
"he's never coming back to us, is he?" i ask him. he looks at me. he is about to answer until the rest of the group comes and sits with us.
"hi guys!" calum chirps. ashton and i immediately drop the conversation and smiles at them.
"hey, cal." ashton smiles. he ruffles calum's hair and calum groans, but smiles. kassandra sits next to me and smiles.
they all start talk to talk about random stuff. i try to listen in, but i keep thinking about luke. i never had feelings for luke, but i just... am worried for him. when i met him, he was innocent and most definitely shy. i don't think he still is anymore.
the lunch doors suddenly bang open. everyone turns towards the doors. the people coming in the doors are nick, his buds, and luke. they all confidently walk inside the lunch area. i don't look at anyone else but luke.
"fuck." ashton says under his breath. i look at him. all he does is look at nick and his group, and luke. luke never turns to look at us. all he does is look straight ahead and walks beside nick. they all walk to where the cheerleaders sit and they all start to flirt with each cheerleader. what makes me frown is that luke flirts with them as well. he talks to this blonde who wears a cheerleader outfit. the cheerleader has her hair up and a ribbon is attached on her shiny hair.
she looks so perfect compared to me. it makes me push up my ugly glasses and brush through my dry blonde hair.
"he's a fucking bitch out there. just look at him." ashton angrily tells us. we immediately know that hes talking about luke.
luke looks more badass now, if that's even possible. instead of walking with a slumped body, he stands straight. he leans against the wall talking to the girl. he smirks, and half way smiles, and looks at the girl up and down. it's like these past few days he's learned how to do body language. i'm guessing nick taught him that. seeing him like this makes me want to turn away, but i couldn't.
i feel someone touch my shoulder. it's kassandra. she sadly looks at me. she knew what i was feeling, and i thanked the lord that i have a best friend as great as her.
"aye, hemmings. why don't we visit your best friends over there, huh?" nick says, turning to luke. luke turns to us. his blue eyes dart to each one of us. he looks at us like he's never seen us before. he shrugs. nick smiles and motions the cheerleaders and the guys to follow him.
