Ginny POV
All of a sudden, a clink noise awakes me.
Curious, I grab my wand, creep out of bed, and go into the Gryffindor Commons room. Then out of nowhere, Harry apears. I jump a mile when I see him.
"Harry!" I wisper.
"Hey Ginny." Mutters Harry. "I didn't see you." I notice that he has his invisibility cloak. That explains why I didn't see him. Either that or he Apparated. That explains the cracking noise. But if he has his cloak.... that means that he's going somewhere.
"Where are you going?" I ask.
"The transfer students are acting weird. At least Annabeth, Percy, and Jason." Harry says, and tells me what he saw, Annabeth, Percy, and Jason flying out of Hogwarts and everything, and them not seeming to be riding on a broom. Harry says that he wasn't sure though, and couldn't see for sure. The strangest thing was that the broom they were riding on kept flickering, like a projection.
I frown. The transfer students seemed nice enough...
"Are you sure?" I ask.
"I'm pretty sure." Harry says. "And checking wouldn't hurt, would it?" I nodd reluctantly.
"I guess." I say. "But we should bring Ron and Hermione too, in case they really are death eaters." Harry nods.
"I'll get Ron." He says. "You can get Hermione."
"Ok." I agree. "See you in a minute."
Two minutes later....
Hermione POV
"Come on.." Harry hisses. "Let's go."
We creep out of Hogwarts. There's nobody in the halls, but we still have to be careful.
I twirl my silver necklace Ron gave me. In the middle of the silver chain, is a beautiful silver pendent in the shape of a book, (Why not?), set with sapphires, my birthstone. Twirling it is a habit I already developed.
In my other hand, I hold my wand. I seriously doubt that Annabeth, Percy, and Jason are death eaters, but you just never know.
"Are you sure they went to the forbidden forest?" Ron asks. At the sound of his voice, my heart beats a little faster.
"I'm sure." Harry says.
"Why don't we just apparate there?" I ask. Harry stares at me like I invented a time machine.
"Of course." He says. "Why didn't I think of that? Everyone, let's just apparate." We nodd and all apparate to the forbidden forest.
We hike aLong there, and we aren't very successful until we reach a small clearing. There are the transfer students. All of them. They must have met here.
They seem to be talking with each other. They are each holding a..... gun. My eyes widen. Then it flickers. No. It's not a gun. The transfer students aren't holding guns.
They're holding swords, knives, and bows.
I look at my friends.
Not guns. Swords. Knives. Bows. I mouth. They nod. They know too.
All of a sudden, there's a loud hiss. I tense. A snake?
No.
It's a woman with long messy green hair. Her eyes are blood red. She's scary, somehow. She's wearing a long black dress and a black veil. Then her hair flickers, and I realize the terrible truth.
Her hair are huge coils of green snakes. The woman lifts her veil.
The transfer students gasp.
"Don't look in her eyes." Percy says. I hear a large meow. It's a cat.
And it's been turned into stone.
Today's question is....
Who would win? Piper or Hazel?
