a stretch of open water surrounded by ice, especially in Arctic seas.

Today it was raining. I knew deep down the boy wouldn't be here today.

Knowing I wouldn't be tempted to be near the boy, I decided I would take a stroll by the beach as the rain poured.

I walked down the street. Left. Three blocks straight. Right. Beach ahead.

The boy always had a way with choosing his spot. It was the perfect spot, so I decided ill go there.

He is here. He is actually here. In his spot, on the beach, pastel blue shoes. New suit of clothes.

So, I gave in. I decided I 'm going to go talk to him.

"Hey..." I called out to him, his pink hair damp because of the precipitation. "Hello?" I said again, this time closer to the boy.

He didn't move, he just stared out of the waves, crashing. Not once did he wipe his eyes due to the water.

"You are going to get all wet," I complained. I placed my umbrella in the sand next to him, making sure It stayed in place, "You can keep it." I smiled. He didn't move, he smirked a little but didn't move. Disappointed.
