When the wind hugs the trees

And the grass tickles my feet

I sit still, and watch how

Everything's free

How the birds touch the sky

With their feathers zooming by

And the willows wave their branches

Swaying low

And high

I watch the sunset

The moon-rise

The days gone

Right by

I watch the people

Around me

Going about their

Hectic lives

And I wonder why

Im always stuck

A prisoner of time

Trapped in eternity

Cursed to live

While each day rewinds

I wonder why

My soul is chained

While my heart bounds free

Why my feet are bound

And my hands tied

Why I'm forced to live

My mirthless life
