Noble POV

"Good morning my only child who doesn't act" my mom says, walking into the kitchen with my dad on her heels.

"Morning ma, I was just about to hit the gym. Coach got us doing some intense work outs cuz the season just started" I say, stretching my arms over my head.

"You playin soccer in the spring too?" My dad asks.

"That's the plan. Soccer in the fall and spring. Basketball in the winter" I tell him grabbing my protein shake from our chief.

"Just make sure you keep them grades up while you're at it" my mom says while poring sugar into her morning cup of coffee.

"Speaking of keeping grades up, where's your sister? Her tutor says she needs to hand in a lot work so she can pass this semester" my dad says.

"Oh ray left out like 20 minutes ago. Said she had something important to do" I say making both my parents stop what there doing.

" 'something important to do' man you gonna get that little girl hurt. Who the fuck do she think she is? Gettin up and leaving like she grown! See Cookie this is why I put her ass out in the first place. She don't got no respect for nothin. Didn't say two words to me when she got home last night either" my dad goes off.

"Relax baby. Y'all are so similar, both stubborn and hard headed. She'll come around. Just be lucky she's home okay" my mom says pecking my dad on the cheek and leaving the kitchen, coffee cup in hand.

"Can I go to mercy's house after I hit the gym?" I ask.

"You've been goin over there a lot boy. Are things gettin serious?"my dad questions smirk and all.

"I mean.. yeah" I say with a chuckle. "Mercy's a good girl, we really vibe" I add as my dad nods along.

"Good,man you know what to do if it comes down to it" my dad says looking at me.

"We had this talk years ago dad I'm good" I say shaking my head.

"As long as you're straight"he says while picking through the bagels Juanita made for us.

"So I could go?" I ask again while picking up my stuff.

"Yeah see you later" I nod walking out the door to the car my parents bought for me on my birthday.

Raven POV

I quickly hop out my Uber then head straight for the lobby of my older sister Jasmine's place. I ring her bell waiting for her to buzz me in.

"Hello?" She asks over the intercom.

"Sis it's me ray. I know it's early but I need a few seconds to talk. Buzz me in" I say.

"Okay" she says and the door instantly opens. I hit the elevator up to her place. The door opens and im met with my sisters half naked body. "Girl.. Where's your damn clothes?" I snap.

"Um this is my shit. If I want to wear a thong and a bra I will. Plus yo ass just woke me up, ain't give a bitch no warning or nothing.. you lucky I even buzzed you in" She snaps back sipping on some pink lookin smoothie.

"Whatever" I say sitting on her couch.

"So what's up?" She asks sitting down directly beside me.

"Everything. I just really need someone new to talk too because shit hasn't been in my favor lately" I tell her.

"What happened?" Jas asks.
