Raven POV

"And 5678" our choreographer yells as sweat drips from my forehead. We've been putting in work to be ready for the VMAS tomorrow because we are the closing act so we have to be the best. I'm so scared yet excited at the same time. It's different to be preforming in front of other artist. At our concerts we know everyone that's in the audience came because they love us so there's not a lot of judgment but the VMAS is a whole other ball game,everyone is so critical of everything.

"Come on y'all! Harder. I want this to be flawless" She snaps making us feel the beat more. As we hit our final poses and the music fades out and my phone begins to ring.

"One sec, my bad" I say running to turn my phone off. I turn it over to see the screen only to be met by Angels number . I hold the power button down then toss my phone back on top my bag.

When I return back to the main space everyone is going over the choreo again so I join in.

Few hours later..

I drag my body towards my bag completely drained. We practiced from the time the sun came up and now the sun is setting. I'm so hungry.

"Ray! We're gonna go grab something to eat. Wanna come?" Mercy asks. We haven't really been spending time together since I started going to therapy.

"I'm gonna pick something up on my way home" I yell back while packing my things.

"Aw come on! It's only 7:30 and it's Friday. Let's go have some fun" Shay begs.

"Seriously guys I'm tired. I just want to sleep. I'll call y'all later" I say walking past them.

"Wait... have you talked to Angel?" Shay asks.

"No, I just been busy-"I start.

"Don't do that ray. Angel really cares about you. He just wants to see that you're alright. Since that night everyone went off on him when they thought he gave you those pills, he's felt real bad and he's been begging us to see you since. Just call him back please" Shay reveals. I take a deep breath, feeling bad that I've been icing him out. He really didn't do anything it's just that I'm too afraid to face him now. I feel silly for what happened.

"I'll call him" I say unsure of if I'm lying or not.

"Okay. You better" Shay demands. "I love you girly" she adds pulling me in for a hug I didn't even realize I needed.

"I love you too!" Mercy yells wrapping her arms around me from behind. I erupt with genuine laughter as they both squeeze me tight.. sending me back to the days before fame when all we had was talent and a dream.

"I really love you guys" I sigh after a few seconds. They hum in response before pulling away.

Carla POV

I take a deep breath before pushing open the door to Andres bedroom.

"Baby you missed like half the movie! What took you so long?" Dre asks looking away from the tv.

"I just needed a second to get my head together" I sigh.

"What's wrong Carla? You've been acting weird since the dinner the other day" dre questions.

"Um.. Andre I have to tell you something" I admit looking into his eyes. He fully sits up then clicks the tv off.

"Okay.. go ahead I'm all ears" he assures me.
