I shifted uncomfortably on whatever I was lying on, and then opened my eyes. I was staring at the ceiling of the house, and I certainly did not remember coming back here. I remembered that I was in the church, and there was pure agony running through my body… I sat up suddenly, and looked down at myself. There was certainly nothing physically different… except maybe my skin was a little paler than usually. My eyes darted around the room, and I found Rapture resting against a wooden stool, his eyes closed. It appeared he was sleeping, yet his face was lined with worry.

“RAPTURE!!!” I could hear Carrie yell, as she stomped into the living room.

I almost squeaked as I layed back down, and closed my eyes. I could hear Rapture wake, and stand up.

“What do you want Carrie.”

“I want to know why Jinx gets turned before Sam!”

“I’M SORRY IF JINX WAS ABOUT TO DIE!”

“OH SO THAT’S YOUR EXCUSE?!”

“IT’S NOT AN EXCUSE!”

I groaned, and then sat back up not able to keep up the charade. “Could you guys keep it down, really sensitive ears over here.”

Rapture quickly shut up, and turned towards me. “Jinx you’re awake…”

“I was awake even before you too idiots started having a yelling match.”

“My apologies…”

I watched as Rapture moved over to me, and sat down on the edge of the couch. I could see tears falling down his face. I gulped, and then looked at Carrie who was still fuming. I hugged Rapture, and then pulled away looking at him.

“Rapture if I’m turned, then Sam, and Felisha have to be turned to…”

“Right…” Rapture looked towards Carrie. “Go turn Sam, you have my permission.”

Carrie smiled a little bit, and then walked off. I turned to Rapture, and then put myself in Rapture’s lap. I wrapped my arms around Rapture’s neck, and then pushed him back a little

“Maybe we could have a little fun..”

Rapture pushed me off him, and then stood up. “No, now is not the time, I need to go to the council, I need to tell them what happened.”

“And you’re just going to leave me here?”

“No.. I can’t… They need to meet with you to speak of the type of vial you are going to receive.”

“Vial?”

“Yes, you have the choice to have a mate blood vial, or a child blood vial.”

“Oh… Child defiantly child.”

“How did I see that coming..” Rapture smiled a tiny bit.

I smiled back, and then stood up. I moved over to Rapture, and wrapped my arms around his waist hugging him. I rested my head against Rapture’s chest, and closed me eyes. It took a moment before Rapture wrapped his arms around me, and hung his head just above mine.

“I am so sorry Jinx, I did not mean for this to happen…”

“It’s ok Rapture.”

“MORIE AR DINDRA!!” (WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!)

“El mora hungra a tentanta povavoa.” (Changed him so that he lived.)

“Je magra banene tempto.” (Fine, that is acceptable.)

“Zou mey grean viala.” (About the vial.)

“Em, morie elgin mora grindada?” (Yes, what has he choosen?)

“Chemba viala.” (Child vial.)

I was standing off to the side watching as one of the council members handed a small blood vial that was hanging off the chain of a bracelet. Rapture stepped away from the council, and then held out his hand motioning that it was time for us to leave. I walked quickly over to Rapture, and took up Rapture’s hand. Once we were several miles away from the council’s house, Rapture handed me the empty bloodvial on the bracelet.

“I can’t wait for this family of ours to begin.”
