I woke to the sound of Jinx’s whimpering. The sound was sweet to my ears, and I was curious as to what he was possibly whimpering about. A dream maybe.

    “R-Rapture…” Jinx whined.

That’s when I found that someone was touching my Jinx. MY Jinx. A sudden loud growl erupted from my throat, and I lunged from the bed, not caring that I was still butt naked. I slammed the strange vampire down on the floor. My hand tightening around his throat, nails digging into his skin.

“What the hell do you think you're doing with my mate?!”

The vampire chuckled, as the vial with Jinx’s blood hung from my neck in front of his face. “I’m simply trying to steal what belongs to you.” He replied.

I could feel my eyes turning black, anger welling up inside of me. The guy reached up and grabbed the vial ripping it from my neck. I howled in anger as he tossed the vial across the room, I quickly could feel the effects of the vial moving away from me.

    “NO!”

I ripped the vampire’s head from his body. I then moved away from the body to snatch up the vial and replace the black leather that held the vial. I sighed, and replaced the vial around my neck.

    “JORDAN!!” I yelled.

Jordan  was up in the room in a flash and I pointed at the body of the vampire. “Clean this up please.” I ordered, and then watched as he picked up the body, to take it outside to burn.

I sighed, and rubbed my eyes before picking up my boxers, and jeans. I pulled them on, and then turned to Jinx. Jinx was shivering in fear, and I moved over to him. I wrapped my arms around Jinx, and kissed his forehead.

“Hey, it’s ok… The scary vampire is gone.”

Jinx glared at me, “I am not a child Rapture.”

I simply chuckled, and then picked him up. I kissed him on the lips, and then began to peck down to his jawline. Jinx squirmed in my arms, and squeaked I reached his neck. I kissed his neck, and then put him down.

“Now get dressed, while I go have myself something to drink.” I watched as Jinx moved over to his bag full of clothes.

I walked downstairs, and moved over to the fridge. When I opened it up I found none of my champagne bottles in it. I simply frowned, and then moved over to the cellar door. I pushed open the door, and then began to walk down the old wood stairs. I could smell the blood dripping from the dead bodies that hung from the ceiling. I reached the bottom of the stairs, and looked around. All I could see was the hanging figures all the way on the other side of the cellar. I moved over to the large wall that held champagne bottles of blood that was specially for me. I went to pull off a bottle when I heard a voice.

“Rapture, Rapture, Rapture… You haven’t changed a bit.”

I suddenly tensed when I heard the voice. I could hear the light footsteps of bare feet padding against the cement cellar floor. I slowly pulled the bottle down from the wall, and then turned around to face the person who was talking.

“Melinda… I see you haven’t changed either.”

Melinda gave out a light chuckle, and stepped from the shadows. She weaved around the bodies before walking up to me. Her dark violet eyes brought up old memories that I didn’t want to remember.

“Rapture, you look as handsome as ever.”

I glared at Melinda. “What do you want?” I asked looking away from her, not letting her for even one second enchanting me.

“I thought you knew? I want what you have.”

I narrowed my eyes, and glared at her. “And what would that be?” I asked.

“I want Jinx.”

A growl erupted from my throat, but died down quickly when Melinda planted a kiss on my lips. I couldn’t help but pull her closer. ‘Damned blood vial.’ I thought, and then I found myself slammed on the ground. Melinda was working on my pants when I heard a very distinct voice.

“I thought I was the only one..”
