Chapter 6

17 June 2018
Amanda's POV-
I woke up on the couch in Sannas room, I had gotten off the phone with Jesse really late. We talked for hours on end on the phone, I got to know so much about him and I told him so much about myself I never thought I'd tell anyone.
"Finally you're awake" Sanna said
"what time is it?" I asked
"It's a bit after 10, rest of us just came back from breakfast" Maja said
"Why didn't you guys wake me up?"
"We did and you said you wanted to sleep" Stina said
"Oh I don't remember" I said laughing
"But your favourite person brought you some breakfast" Pontus said
"Thank you my beloved one" I said as I took the food from him
"So what did you and Jesse talk about last night?" Maja asked
"Fist we made plans on what time we're gonna hang out, then we started talking about what we wanted to become when we grew up, then we like started talking about everything and nothing, then all of a sudden it was 2 AM and he said he needed to sleep but then we still continued talking for another hour so, I don't know if felt like none of us wanted to hang up" I said
"Thats so cute" Stina said
I couldn't help but blush, I just wanted to change the conversation.
"So what's your plans for today?" I asked the rest
"We're talking the kids out to a park, then maybe finding a mall and doing some shopping" Maja said
"Well as much as I'd love to follow along I have work to do" I said getting up
"Come on don't be a bore" Maja said
"No Im not being a bore, I have to write an article on the Germany and Mexico match" I said
"It's gonna end in a win to Germany" Stina said
"So follow us" Sanna said
"I can't guys you go out and have fun I'll join you guys after the match" I said to them
"Fine see you later" Pontus said
I said bye to them and left to go to my hotel room. Before the match I ate my food and watched some Netflix, not gonna lie it was really boring by myself.
-After the match-
The Germany Mexico match was shocking to say the least. Mexico has a good team and they're a team who always seems to make it out of the group stages. But them winning over Germany is something no one thought would happened. The former champions weren't playing good at all during this match. They were talking with each other they weren't working with each other, it was more or less a mess.
After finishing up my article I called Stina asking where they were. I went to meet them up, we went to some park with kids and ate dinner. It was a really fun night, it was so nice catching up with Maja and Sanna. We were all exited for tomorrow's match, we were obviously hoping for a win.

17th June
- Jesse's POV-
I woke up by a banging on my door, I sat up scared. I looked at the time on my phone, it was 7:34. Why did everything have to happen so early. I got up to go open the door, I opened the door to see Marcus and Ashely.
"Why haven't you got dressed?" Ashley asked as they walked into my room.
I didn't answer him I just got back into bed I was dead tired.
"Jess get up, you know we have a flight to catch" Marcus said
"I know, I'm just really tired" I said
"How you tired you left me and the guys at like 9 to go to bed" Marcus said
"I know but then I ended up staying up till around 3?" I told them
"What where you doing that late?" Marcus asked
"I was on the phone" I said
"With Who?" Ashley asked
I was unsure if I wanted to answer
"With Amanda?" Marcus asked
I just nodded.
"Wait the same Amanda you went out with?" Ashley asked pointing at Marcus.
Marcus just nodded and this whole situation just turned awkward.
"Wait So she's playing both of you?" Ashley asked
"No she's not playing any of us, she made it clear to both of us she doesn't want a relationship, but she wouldn't be opposed to getting to know us and being friends" Marcus said
"But both of your intentions are to be more then friends with her" Ashley said
"Even if our intentions are you be more then friends it's nothing she wants and she's only here during the World Cup then she goes back to Sweden" I said to him
"Wait is she a reporter?" Ashley asked
Both me and Marcus just nodded.
"Oh my days, don't tell me you guys are actually this stupid" Ashley said laughing
"What you on about?" Marcus asked
"She's a reporter and she's stringing you both along, she obviously wants to write a article about you guys or something like that" he said
"Nah she's not like that" I said to Ashley
"I've warned you guys, just be careful" he said as he got up and left the room
"You really think she'd do that?" I asked looking at Marcus
"No she's too kind to doing something like that, she's been up front with the both of us from the start, she wouldn't" Marcus said
"Yea your probably right" i said
"Now go get ready" he said to me heading out of my room
"Ay Marcus, you've got to promise me one thing" I said to him
"What is it?" He asked
"What ever that happens we can't let a girl get between us" I said to him
"Obviously both of us would never allow that to happen" he said
"Now seriously get ready" he said to me
"I am chill" I said as got out of bed.
18th June 2018
Amanda's POV-
Today was match day and we were all exited, we were on the buss with the teams wife and girlfriends. I was wearing a sweden jersey, nr 22 and it said Kiese Thelin, he is one of Sweden's players, we were good friends. We met while he was playing for Malmö FF, he only played for them for one season but we became really good friends. We still kept in contacted even after he moved to Belgium. There were obviously rumours about us dating but none of it was true.
When we got into the stadium we were lead to our seats, there was a lot of talk wether Victor Lindelöf would be playing or not.
"It's just been confirmed, victor is not playing" Maja said
I could obviously see she was sad about it.
"You know what's wrong with him?" I asked
"Something about having a fever" she said looking down.
"Keep your head up okay, he's gonna be feeling better soon and he'll be on that field before you know it" I said
"Yea, lets just focus on this game" she said smiling at me.
The game was intense both teams had good chances to score, but none of them were lucky. It was in the 65th minute when Augustinsson was tackled inside the penalty box, the whole of Sweden's bench yelled for a penalty so did the Swedish fans.
The referee went over to the VAR to look if it actually was a penalty, which it clearly was.
The referee walked away from the TV and pointed towards penalty and we all cheered.
It was tense, it almost felt like the whole stadium was dead silent. The referee blew the whistle and Andreas Granqvist prepared to take the penalty and it was a goal. We all jumped up and down, we were all so happy. Let's hope we can keep the score and win this game.
The next of couple of minuets were intense but we won the match. We all were yelling and cheering in the stands. Sadly we couldn't stay for much longer so we said bye to Sanna and Maja.
We were gonna exit trough the back and then go to the hotel grab our stuff and head directly to the airport. Since we had press passes we were allowed access in to the tunnels. As we were walking towards the exit I heard someone calling out my name. When I turned around I saw both the South Korea team and Sweden's team entering the tunnels.
I knew exactly who had yelled out my name and it brought a smile to my face
"Isaac" I yelled as I walked over to him. I gave him a big hug and he picked me up and I wrapped my legs around him
"Amanda, I thought that was you" He said while still hugging
"How are you? How does it feel you're playing in the World Cup?" I asked him as he let me down
"I'm fine, it feels so amazing I'm glad we won today hopefully we'll go far" he said with a smile
"I'm so happy for you and the team, I'm certain you guys will make sweden proud" I said
"How long are you in town for or are you working?" He asked
"Im working actually, just heading out to the England Tunisia match, but I wanted to see you guys play" I said
"That match is soon what are you still doing here?" He asked
"I obviously had to come here and talk to my boy" I said
"Go we wouldn't want you to be late" he said as he pulled me into another hug
"I'll see you soon" I said while hugging him back
"Love you, good luck" he said as he let go of me
"Thank you, love you too" I said while walking away and blowing kisses his way
I walked back over to Stina and Pontus who were waiting for me. We quickly went back out to the car waiting for us. After arriving at the hotel we grabbed our stuff and checked out.
We were in quite a bit of a time crunch to the airport but we made it on time. After getting on the plane and we were In the air I went into the airplane toilets to change into something more suitable for the interviews I'd be doing later on.
The plane ride was quite quick and before we knew it we were already at the stadium.
"Guys I'm so nervous, I'm gonna like flop and embarrass myself" I said as I started to panic
"Amanda get a grip, you're gonna do fine, everything is gonna be fine" Stina said as she grabbed my shoulders and shook me
"Okay, it's gonna be alright" I said
"Let's go to the media room" Pontus said

- After the match-
It was the moment of truth, it was time to Interview some of the players. Pontus was behind the camera and standing right behind me was Stina.
Now we were just waiting for the players to come by and hopefully we'd get the chance to talk to one of them.
First out was English defender Kyle Walker.
"Amanda?" He asked
"Hey Kyle would it be alright if I asked you a couple of questions?" I asked
"Yea obviously" he said
Pontus started recording, I was gonna start off by introducing who I was with.
"Här står jag med en av Englands försvarsspelare Kyle Walker, efter 2-1 vinsten mot Tunisien"
(I'm currently standing with English defender Kyle Walker, after the 2-1 win against Tunisia)
"Kyle tell us how you feel after winning this win?" I asked
"You know obviously it feels great to win, I think we played great today, it's great to get 3 points but we obviously got a long way to go" he said
"Have You noticed a difference in the current English team now that you've younger players and all?"
"Yea I could say I've noticed a difference between this current squad we've got and previous years, you can tell the guys want to play, they want to win and they're more hungry for the ball" he said
"Do you think you could achieve a lot of things with this current squad?" I asked
"Yea I think In time we could achieve amazing things with this squad we've currently got" he said
"Thank you for your time Kyle" I said as I ended the interview
"See you later Amanda" he said right before walking away.
Next person I was going to be interviewing was Harry Kane.
"Hey it's you" He said as he walked over
"Yes it's me" I said
"I didn't know you were a reporter" he said
"Surprise?" I said kinda unsure
"Would it be okay if I'd ask you some questions?" I asked him
"Yea, of course" he said
Pontus once again started recording and I was introducing Harry.
"Här står jag med Englands landslags kapten och Englands enda målskytt under kvällens match, Harry Kane"
(I'm standing here with England's captain and England's only goal scorer in tonight's match)
"Harry tell us how it feels scoring 2 goals in your World Cup debut?"
"It feels amazing, a dream come true just being here and playing for my country" he said
"Could you describe how it felt scoring the winning goal in the 91st minuet?" I asked
"It was just an amazing feeling, we got the 3 points We wanted, it just felt great I could do that for my team" he said with a big smile
"Do you think during this match that you and the other players underestimated Tunisia a bit?" I asked
"Yea I feel like we did underestimate them a bit, they kinda caught us off guard and played great but we still pulled trough?" He said
"Do you have high hopes of coming far in this tournament?" I asked
"Yea I think every team here wants to get far in this tournament hopefully win, we have a great group of lads and we're just gonna give it our all we'll see how far we go" he said
"Well thank you Harry for your time and we wish you the best of luck" I said to him
He just gave me a smile and walked off. I couldn't believe I had just done that it went so smoothly. After I interviewed a couple Tunisian players I was done.
"Amanda you were great" Stina said to me while hugging me
"I can't believe that oh my god" I said still shocked
"Amanda?" I heard a voice say from behind me
"Marcus" I said as after turning around. I went up to him to give him a hug
"Kyle told me you were here, you didn't tell me you'd be reporting on any of our matches"
"Yea well here I am" I said
"How did it go?" He asked
" I think it went pretty well" I said
"I'm sure you did great" he said while giving me a second hug
"Thank you" I said while hugging him back
"I should get going but I'll see you when we get back" he said
"Yea, have a safe trip home" I said giving him a third hug
He then went back into the changing rooms.
"Okay time to head back" I said as I went over to Stina and Pontus
"When does our flight leave?" Pontus asked
"Like in 3 hours" Stina said as we walked back to the media room to get our stuff.
"I'm so exhausted" I said
"Who isn't" Stina said
After getting all of our stuff we headed on to the airport.
After a couple of ours I was finally back in my hotel room, the past couple of days have been hectic. I was bothered to look for pyjamas so I took the first thing I got out of my back pack which happened to be my sweden jersey. Well I guess you've got to represent even while sleeping.
