Chapter 20: A Beautiful Setting {Lucky}

I know it's only been a couple months since I've moved her, but it feels more like six. They say time flies when you're having fun, well I guess that doesn't apply here. Because I've been having loads of fun and yet time feels like it's been going by so slowly. "Lucky, could you come down here?" My mother called "I'll be right down" I said, I then put on some clothes and went downstairs "What's up?" I asked "A roof" she said laughing, my dad was never really one for dad jokes, but my mom loves puns and she makes up for it more than plenty, I groan a little "Anyway, that's not why I called you down" she said "Okay what's the reason?" I asked "I wanted to talk to you about Dice's mother" she said "Why me?" I asked "Because I need you to explain this to Dice" she said "explain what" I asked, jeez why doesn't she just tell me rather than just explaining it to me "What his mother is doing could be considered child abuse" she said "A parents job is to protect and nourish any needs a child has, and his mother is neglecting him just for loving someone" she explained "Isn't child abuse when a parent hits a child?" I asked "It can be, but child abuse is actually when a parent hurts the child emotionally and/or physically" she answered "What his mother is doing is neglecting his needs, which can cause emotional damage, and if his needs are left unchecked it can lead to serious damage to his health" she explained, I got a text, from Dice "Who's it from?" she asked "Dice" I replied "Go, be with him, we can talk about this later" she said "Oh and take these" she said tossing me a small bag of things, I looked inside and blushed "MOM!" I said embarrassed "What, I just want you to be safe, now go have fun now" she said, I gave her a hug "Love you mom" I said "Aw, why'd you have to make it cheesy?" She said, I chuckled and walked out the door. I saw Dice and his face went from a worried 'Is he coming' to a 'he's so cute' love sick expression, I got in the car "Hey" he said in a love sick voice "Hey, what're we gonna do?" I asked, his love sick expression just became filled with more love and I felt myself blush a bit "You'll see" he said driving off, after driving for awhile we stopped and parked, he came around to my side and opened up my door, what a gentleman, I got out, he then lead me to an area before we stopped "cover your eyes and no peaking" he said, I then covered my eyes, a moment later he pulled me a somewhere "You can open them now" he said, I opened my eyes and saw a beautiful candle lit dinner, I covered my mouth, he gestured for me to sit down, which I walked over and did, he pushed in my chair and set up a camera. After setting it up he sat down, I couldn't stop looking at him, he's so cute and so sweet, how didn't I fall for him sooner, he noticed I was looking at him "Look at the camera, not me" he said smiling at me, maybe my mom was right to pack that small bag. We both looked at the camera and it took a picture, after Dice put the camera away he gave me a card. I opened the card and it had a poem with a memory card attached, the poem read "Your name may be Lucky, but I'm the Lucky one being able to date you, my name may be Dice, but you won the roll to my heart, and we may be friends, but I'd like to be more, this card attached has lots of already great memories, but Its not full, I'd like to fill it and make plenty of memories with you. Will you go out with me?" I covered my mouth and began tearing up, "Yes!" I said nodding. Just then I heard an angry voice yell at us "What is this?!"
