Escape... Your Room

A whole week has passed, and you've only been let out of your room once. And that one time was because the toilet in your bathroom was clogged so you had to use the one in the hallway.

Other than watching T.V., you were bored out of your mind. Steve no longer brought in the meals, because according to Tony he was on a mission. You tried finding out what he was doing, but Tony just said it was 'classified' and left.

After taking a shower, you sat down on the newly transfigured couch and turned on the news. On the screen was Spiderman, and they were still talking about the robbery.

"Spiderman, would you like to give your statement on the recent events that occurred today?" The news reporter tipped the microphone over to Spiderman.

"That was amazing what that woman did," he says, and he looks at the camera. "If she's listening right now, I hope she knows that I'm super grateful, and that she did a great service." And with that, he shot a web to a nearby building and launched into the sky.

The scene changed and now showed a woman sitting at the Channel 3 News front desk.

"Thank you, Karen," she said. "While that's the opinion from friendly neighborhood Spiderman, some do not agree with this statement. While the woman, now identified as (f/n), did a public service, others saw the scene differently."

A man that you recognize as the security guard from the bank showed up on the screen.

"It was not natural what that girl did. I saw her grinning, and it just didn't seem right."

The woman was talking again.

"Others agree with this statement, and even started protest against the city keeping these people with the normal public."

You turned off the T.V. as a tear ran down your cheek. You knew you weren't normal, but it sure didn't help with the protests against you. Why couldn't they just except you for who you were?

You wiped the tears from your eyes. The door opened and walked in Tony.

"Well, whaddya know? It's the Iron Asshat himself!" You say sarcastically, pulling the covers up to your chin.

"Cute," he said. "Here's your dinner." He placed the tray gently on the edge of your bed. He looked like he wanted to say something. He opened his mouth, then closed it, shaking his head. "Enjoy your spaghetti." And with that, he was gone.

You took a bite of your spaghetti when you realize something. You stand up and walk over to the door. You twist the knob, and chuckle, knowing you were right.

Tony left it unlocked.

Did he do it on purpose, to see what you would do? What if he just forgot? You double checked the door, and you opened it and looked out the hallway. You smiled and closed the door again. Whether Tony did it on purpose or if he just forgot, you weren't going to sit around here and not escape. You walked out the door.

Wait. You walked back into your room. If I go now, there's a huge possibility of being caught. You figured that you should wait until nighttime, cause then everyone would be asleep.

"JARVIS," you hesitated. "Can you keep a secret?"

"That depends, (y/n). What is it?"

"Tony left the door unlocked. Tonight, I just want to find my brother and make sure he's alright. I promise I'll come straight back to my room."

JARVIS didn't answer for a moment. "Ma'am, I won't tell, as long as you promise you won't leave Stark Tower."

"Cross my heart," you say. Good. Now there's no way you'll get caught. You sit down to eat your dinner, and plot.
