Derek's P.O.V.
I spent the day chasing around after Scott trying to drill in the important lessons, but I was beginning to realise that Scott was largely going to forge his own path. It wouldn't stop me from trying to help him and it certainly wouldn't stop me from getting frustrated at him either. Although I will admit to being particularly irritated today due to my breakdown last night. I went to visit my Uncle at the hospital where he was catatonic but it did nothing except frustrate me more.  Stiles was amazing though and I couldn't be more grateful to him.
After a while I pulled up to the high school where Scott and Stiles awaited me. I immediately looked to Stiles and relaxed a little in his presence.
'I have a plan.' Scott said, and I knew that I would come to regret those words. He disappeared inside the school while Stiles stayed outside with me.
'For the record, I told him that this was a terrible idea. He's going to get us all killed.' Stiles groaned. It was only moments later when a noise like a strangled cat came from inside the school over the intercom.
'Tell me he's not doing what I think he's doing. He can't possibly be that stupid.' I said.
'You told him he's connected to the Alpha so he's testing that theory.' Stiles stated seconds before a powerful roar came through the speaker system.
'Well we are officially very dead.' I deadpanned. When Scott came outside I started to yell at him before I felt excruciating pain and heard Stiles scream my name before the claws that had punched through my chest retracted and I dropped to the ground, the world fading to black.
*
When I managed to pry my eyes open I saw that Stiles was hovering over me, with tears streaming down his face and he was saying my name over and over again.
'S-Stiles.' I choked out. He looked at me.
'Thank god. The Alpha went after Scott inside the school, bizarrely it looked at me and then just walked away. But Derek you look really bad. Oh god, there's so much blood...' He was panicking and rambling.
'D-Deaton...' I managed and he nodded rapidly.
'Of course that makes sense, Deaton, yes.' He darted away and opened the door to the Camaro before coming back and, with incredible strength for a human, he lifted me up, bridal style. I flinched and groaned out loud at the pain it caused to be moved. He placed me in the back seat and then ran to the driver's side before gunning it to the Clinic.
'I'll be right back Sourwolf.' He said before he dashed to the door of the clinic and hammered his fist on it. The door opened and it wasn't long before Deaton was helping Stiles get me to the backroom.
As soon as I was there Deaton was cutting off my shirt and stitching my wounds closed. I knew that because they were an Alpha's wounds they would take much longer than normal to heal so having Deaton treat them would help greatly.
Stiles wasn't looking so good, he was pale and had sweat coating his body. He sat down on a chair next to the table and held my hand, while Deaton worked on me. The minute Deaton was done I ordered him to check Stiles over.
'I'm just getting what you are Sourwolf, not much he can do for that.' He said. But I looked at Deaton with a single eyebrow raised.
'It's possible. You are an exceptionally odd case.' He commented.
I nodded and then grabbed Stiles hands and placed them on lightly on top of the area that Deaton had just stitched. 'I want you to focus on all the positive feelings you can, think about healing things, about your happiest moments, anything and channel it all into your hands, pull on the bond as much as you can as well- like you're channeling it.' I told him and he nodded before closing his eyes. It was moments later that I felt heat coming from Stiles' hands and a warmth filled my entire body before it faded away. I glanced down at my chest to see that the wounds had healed and then looked up at Stiles whose eyes were blown wide.
'Did I just do that?' He murmured in awe. I nodded at him and grinned.
'Feel better now?' I checked as I sat up. He nodded in return and then launched himself at me, pulling me into a tight hug. 'Woah.'
'I swear to god if you scare me like that one more time I'm going to skin your werewolf ass.' He threatened though his voice was shaky and I stroked up and down his back reassuringly. I looked at Deaton over my shoulder and nodded my thanks. 'Oh god. Scott and the Alpha, at the school.' Stiles exclaimed. At that moment his phone started to ring and he pulled it from his pocket.
'Dad.' He said once he had answered it.
'Stiles, listen carefully, something bad happened at the school and Scott said it was Derek, now I know it wasn't and I know that you're probably with him right now but I have a duty to investigate this, ok? Which means that he really needs to lay low for a while. He can't come to the house Stiles. I'm giving you permission to stay with him if you want but please, for the love of all things holy, be careful and keep him out of trouble. I'll clear him as quickly as I can. Be safe, Mischief.' His dad hung up.
'He's dead. He's going to wish the Alpha got him.' Stiles fumed.
'It's not like it's my first time on the run.' I teased. He just sent me a flat stare. 'You can't stay with me. It's too dangerous.' I told him.
'Yeah well you can't stop me. And seriously- I can dodge cops way better than you, I have a police radio in my Jeep. Which is at the school right now.' He trailed off. 'It's fine Dad will have one of his deputies drive it to the house, which is where we are going so I can pack a bag and get some school stuff.' He stated. I chuckled and nodded.
'Since it'll do no good to argue with you, sure. Let's go then, Mischief.' I grinned when he flushed red. 'Thanks Deaton.' I called over my shoulder as we left.

When Stiles re-entered the Camaro he had a sports bag of clothes along with his backpack, both of which he tossed in the back seat.
'Where to Sourwolf? I mean your house is the first place they'd look.' Stiles pointed out.
'Which is why we aren't going there. We're going to my loft.' I told him before I began the drive. It didn't take long before I was pulling up outside the building. When we got up to the loft Stiles looked around curiously, it was fairly empty- I was a minimalist kind of guy-with a spiral staircase heading upwards and a kitchen on the right hand side of the room.
'Welcome to my home. Not that I ever actually stay here really.' I began to lead him over to the stairs and ascended them before heading down the hall to the master bedroom. 'You can put your stuff anywhere.' I told him before I moved to the wardrobe and grabbed a new shirt- mine was kind of ruined at Deaton's so I was still shirtless. I was about to pull on a plain black t-shirt when I felt Stiles' fingers tracing the tattoo on my back. I suppressed a shiver at the sparks that travelled outward from his fingers.
'What does it mean?' He asked me.
'It's a triskele. It represents how Betas can become Alphas, Alphas can become Betas and they can both become Omegas. That's what it means, Alpha, Beta, Omega. It's an important symbol in my family- we used it as our pack symbol, the symbol of the Hale pack.' I explained to him. I spun to face him so fast that the hand that had been on my back landed on my bare chest instead and I held back a gasp at how good the sparks felt now.
Stiles blushed a beautiful red and I smirked at him as he removed his hand and took a step back. 'That's, uh, really cool.' He stumbled over his words in the most adorable way.
'You're blushing.' I told him gleefully. He blushed harder and I laughed.
'Shut up Sourwolf.' He snapped.
'Nope.' I replied. He huffed and glared at me. Before long I felt a sharp stabbing pain in my head. I groaned and gripped my head in my hands. 'Okay... I give. Uncle. Stop.' I hissed in pain before it was just gone. 'Wow that hurt.'
'Well that's what you get for laughing at me.' Stiles crosses his arms and pouted. I fought the urge to laugh again.
'I'm sorry that I laughed at your adorableness.' I told him sincerely.
'You- what?' He spluttered.
'You're adorable, Stiles.' I told him across the bond and he smiled softly.
'You are too you know? You don't even realise it sometimes.' He responded. I was vaguely affronted.
'I am not adorable.' I growled back in his head.
'I beg to differ.' Along with his message came a mental image of me as a wolf and then one of me hugging a pillow to my chest. 'What would you call that, if it's not adorable?' He shot back with a smirk.
'Manly.' I shot back and his laughter filled both my head and my ears. It was the greatest sound I had ever heard and filled me with a warm feeling. A goofy grin spread across my face.
'What are you feeling right now, cause it's making me feel a little dopey...' Stiles asked and his 'voice' did sound a little spaced out.
'Happy.' I replied simply. And his grin spread across his face.
'Sourwolf, can I see your wolf again?' He asked curiously. I nodded and turned to head into the attached bathroom, I still wasn't going to take off all my clothes in front of him, not yet. I grinned at that thought.
It didn't hurt to turn into a wolf, it just felt incredibly weird. But before long I was on all fours and pushing the door open with my head, padding across the room towards my mate.
Stiles had taken a seat on the bed as he waited for me so I simply jumped up onto the bed with him, turning in a circle and then lying down with my head in his lap. He chuckled as he stroked through my fur and I closed my eyes as I relaxed.
'There's just something really calming about you like this. I'm not sure what it is.' He commented as he continued to stroke along my side. I shifted so as that I was lying on my side, letting him talk as much as he needed to so long as he kept stroking me. 'Maybe it's because you can't talk back.' He joked. I playfully growled and nipped lightly at his hand in reproach. 'Ok maybe not. Probably because dog's, and I know you're not one, but dogs are like really loyal, and trustworthy- they're really good at sensing things about people too.' He continued. I bumped my head against him, approving more of this, even in spite of the dog comment. Stiles yawned so I nudged him until he was laying down and curled up next to him. 'You're rather affectionate as a wolf. Not that you aren't when you're human it's just... more as a wolf. Hmm... I'll have to research that tomorrow...' His voice trailed off as he succumbed to sleep, but his hand was still resting on my side and I was pressed against his, my tail wrapped around his legs. I knew that I'd have to move soon, I couldn't risk falling asleep as a wolf, I didn't want to turn back in the middle of the night- that would certainly lead to an awkward morning.
I lay there for a little while before moving away and turning back before pulling on some underwear and sweatpants before lying back down and pulling Stiles to my chest, where he belonged.
