Stiles P.O.V.
We were in my Jeep and we were headed to the hospital when Scott called to tell us that he had in fact got the necklace and had taken pictures of it. There was no inscription and the thing was flat, it didn't open like a locket or anything. He also informed me that I was supposed to be at the field right now as I was meant to be first line.
'If you see my Dad then just tell him that I'll be there and that I'm running late.' I informed Scott quickly before saying a short goodbye and cutting the call.
Derek looked up at me softly. 'You aren't going to make that game.'
'I know.' I replied.
'You didn't tell him about his mother either.' Derek pointed out.
'Once we have all the facts then we'll tell Scott.' I told him. 'Oh and did I mention that Jackson knows about Werewolves and he wants the bite.' I added.
'No, you did not mention that.' Derek replied in a half irritated, half amused tone.
'Oops.' I said just as we pulled into the hospital parking lot.
'That's a tomorrow problem. Today's problem is figuring out who, if it wasn't Melissa, sent that message. So you need to go in there. If I could then I would but I can't being wanted and all. So be careful and call me if you find anything.' He sounded, looked and felt worried.
'I'm sure I'll be fine Sourwolf.' I moved closer and kissed him quickly before I made my way out of the Jeep and into the hospital.
When I got there it was eerily quiet and empty, with no one there at all. I pulled out my phone and dialled him as fast as I could.
'I don't like this Derek, there is nobody here. I have a really bad feeling about this.' I said as soon as he picked up.
'Look for Jennifer, she's the nurse looking after my Uncle.' He suggested. I moved towards the room I knew contained Peter Hale, but saw that the room was empty. The bad feeling I felt multiplied by ten and I felt suddenly very cold.
'Derek he's not here. Peter isn't in his room. This is bad, so, so bad.' I told him and I could feel myself begin to shake.
'Stiles, get out. Get out now, he's the alpha, you've got to get out, move.' He was yelling now and I spun on my heel and raced towards the exit only to find it blocked by none other than Peter himself, no longer catatonic.
'You must be Stiles.' He said with a creepy smile on his face. And suddenly I was calm, I wasn't afraid. I could read him like a book, he was evil, yes, but at the same time he was also lonely and confused and in so much pain. His smile vanished when he realised that I wasn't afraid of him.
'Hello Peter, I see you've woke up for good now then. No more hiding, why don't you complete the healing process? I mean what use is it staying like that if you don't have to?' I was relaxed and keeping him talking for as long as I could until Derek showed up.
'Hmmm, I was waiting for a more dramatic moment but I suppose that you are right.' Peter said before healing the rest of the burns on his face until he looked as though he was never anywhere near the Hale fire. Except for the look in his eyes, like he was still trapped in that building, listening to the screams and feeling his skin burning.
I felt Derek approaching and linked to him. 'Don't come in here all guns blazing Sourwolf. I've got it under control.' He appeared next me a moment later and sent a nod in my direction before turning to face his Uncle.
'Ah Derek, I was wondering when you would arrive.' Peter grinned at him.
'Yes well here I am.' Derek pointed out sarcastically.
'We're all here, glad we got that covered. Now shall we talk? No need for violence.' I was desperately trying to keep the peace.
'He killed Laura. There is no forgiveness for that.' Derek responded, his voice deadly.
'Do you really think I would kill my niece on purpose? I had just woken up, I was a little rabid for a while there Derek.' Peter said with that same creepy grin on his face.
'Or you just needed the power she had as an Alpha and the only way to get that was to kill her. I do believe that you were rabid, but you knew what you were doing to some extent. Rage has clouded all judgement you have, rage and pain. There is nothing we can do to help you with that, you have to help yourself. So just know that until that point we will do whatever necessary to stop you.' I stared him straight in the eyes as I spoke and then turned around, grabbing Derek's hand before walking out of the building.

Many, many things are wrong with our current situation, the one which was currently the most irritating for me at this particular moment in time? One Jackson Whitmore. I swear everyday I came a step closer to killing him with my bare hands.
We spent the morning in the middle of an abandoned lot trying to keep Jackson from doing something incredibly stupid while Chris Argent was being incredibly creepy and asking a lot of questions, he thought that Jackson was the Beta he was looking for, what a joke.
Scott ended up screaming in his face, Jackson's that is but he wouldn't take a hint, telling Scott, once again to get him the bite, or else.
And then, simply because Peter was not to be outdone he decided to go on a date with Melissa. So I ended up being the one tailing them in my car and then having to rear-end her car in order to abort the date.
'Really Stiles?' Melissa asked looking at me with her angry mom face. I gave her an apologetic smile before turning to look at Peter.
'Hello Peter, if you know what's good for you I would suggest staying away from Ms. McCall. She is someone we would go to great lengths to protect and as such should anything happen to her we would bring a world of hurt down on you.' By this point I could feel the odd look that Melissa was giving me and so I turned towards her. 'Trust me Mama McCall, he isn't the kind of person you want to associate with, at least he isn't right now. And no, Scott did not put me up to this, and yes I do in fact know Peter, who will be going now as I am sure he has better things he could be doing.' I glared at Peter and he walked away.
'Stiles, what the hell just happened?' Melissa asked me.
'That was me protecting you. Don't worry though, you will find someone one day who is everything you deserve and more and who is worthy of you but trust me when I tell you that Peter Hale most certainly is not it.'
After having dealt with that particular issue, I felt like Derek was in trouble, just like before with Kate and her merry band of hunters. Derek was supposed to be meeting with Jackson at the Hale House to deal with him, scare him straight so to speak. We hadn't tried to communicate over a large distance yet but now was as good a time as any so I took a deep breath and focused on my connection to Derek.
'Sourwolf, I'm pretty sure that you're in trouble and I would like to know what is currently happening. If possible, please.' I knew he could hear me, that I had made the connection work long distance.
'God, Stiles it's good to hear your voice, I was with Scott and Jackson at the house and then Hunters showed up, the boys got away but they got me. Kate got me Stiles. They have me in the tunnels under the House, and Stiles, Kate brought in Alison, she knows.'
This was not good, not good at all, I had to go and get him out of there. Before Kate came back for him again, and Scott was going to freak out about Alison being in the know.
'I'm coming for you Derek. I'm coming to get you out.' I told him. I returned to my jeep as quickly as I could and made my way out towards the Hale house, breaking as many traffic laws as I was willing to get to him.
As soon as I was parked I raced out of the car and followed my instincts to where I somehow knew the tunnels were. As soon as I found the entrance I opened the gate moving as quickly as I could down the tunnel towards where Derek was, there was a single hunter standing guard who I hit over the back of the head with the baseball bat I gripped in my hand, he crumpled to the ground and I rushed towards Derek, breaking open his chains with some tools that were laying around, I shudder to think why, and caught him as he fell.
'Stiles...' His voice was weaker than normal but aside from that he seemed okay, the wounds on his chest were slowly healing and he seemed a little dazed still from the electric shock.
'I'm right here, let's get you out of here Sourwolf.' I moved so that one of his arms was slung across my shoulder and one of mine was around his waist. I supported him as we moved out of the room, passing the unconscious body of the guard. Derek glanced at the body and raised an eyebrow at me in question, a small, pained smile on his face.
'So maybe I had to take him out to get to you, it wasn't very difficult nor was it something I actually thought about, instinct took over.' We continued on by, making our way out and towards my jeep. I got him inside, before getting in myself, then driving away from that place. 'Are you okay, Derek?' I only ever called him Derek when I was being serious, and he knew that.
'I'll be fine, they weakened me with a little wolfsbane though it should clear from my system soon, it's slowed down my healing, it made the torture more painful. It doesn't hurt so much now, don't worry about me.' He assured, already sounding stronger than he had before.
'I'm always gonna worry about you Sourwolf, always, that is never going to change. But you are here, and you are safe, and you are healing so that helps. Right now that helps.' I tightened my grip on the wheel and continued driving towards the loft. He reached out and placed a hand on my thigh, comforting me through his touch. Making me relax when I hadn't really noticed that I was tense.
'I'm sorry I worried you. They overwhelmed me when I was trying to make sure that Scott and Jackson made it out.' He explained as we pulled up to the loft. 'When we get inside we need to discuss a game plan. We need to put Peter and Kate down, permanently and so I need that beautiful brain of yours to help me make that happen. Yeah?' He continued.
'Okay, let's get to scheming Sourwolf.' I respond as I opened the door of my jeep.
