Mom, what was that all about? I am not going to drive off till you tell me how you know Shantelle's family. I am not letting you go without an explanation, start talking damn it.

I found a text from Shan telling me to meet her at her apartment so i rushed there as fast as i could, i wondered what happened when i left i hoped she was okay.
But what i saw when i went inside her apartment crushed my heart so bad, i think she had been crying the whole time, her eyes were swollen and Shaun was trying to calm her down.

Hello Brandon, it is good you're here, i was the one who sent you the text. She chose you instead of mom, she couldn't bear to lose you please take care of her, Shaun said.

When she finished telling me everything, my heart melted for this woman in my arms who chose me over her mom. When did we get here, i knew she wasn't happy with being in bad terms with her mom talk of her mom disowning her.

I drove through the empty night streets with Shan beside me, neither of us saying a word, yet every part of my body was aware of her presence. The air in the car was thick with tension, i didn't know what was going to happen to us.
Did i ever tell you how Briana was injured? I asked her.
No, you never told me, i thought it was a touchy subject for you, you don't have to tell me if you don't want to, Shantelle replied.
I really want to i don't mind telling you anything, you're special to me. My mom forced my sister to join Ballet class since most of her friends kids did that, poor girl had no choice but to agree. So one windy afternoon Briana didn't feel like going but my mom insisted and said she would drop her there. As my mom was driving and speaking on her phone at the same time, she didn't see the truck that was coming, she saw it when it was too late. The car went rolling down the steep and hit an iceberg, i was at work when i received the call my mom had only gotten a few stitches but Briana was in bad shape and confined in a wheelchair, i blamed my mom for it and i stopped seeing eye to eye with her.
Oh my God, that was so bad, poor Briana she didn't even want to go that day. Babe i get your mom forced her to join that class but the accident isn't her fault you should forgive her, Shantelle said.
