I took in a deep breath of the morning air. Everything was quiet last night and I had a great sleep all things considered. I awoke a bit earlier than normal to see the rising sun today. I climbed up the larger tree in the area and waited patiently to see it rise.

I've wanted to do this ever since I escaped from the arena and now was finally my chance without having to worry about anyone else besides myself. I grinned watching the small slivers of gold peeking over the ocean view. I sat back in admiration before my words started pouring out.

"Oh how long a wait to see these shining rays, that I might be a part of these new days. In the Shallow hole I had found myself in, I'm now here to see you rise again. My hope and prayer is that I will care, and appreciate the few moments of your morning air." Afterwards I smiled to myself finding this activity... pleasant. Perhaps later on I should get a book and start writing down more poems or just random thoughts. Until then I had a job to catch. After taking a few more moments I finally headed off towards the guild.

"Morning Chase, how did you sleep?" I smiled towards Ellie happy to receive a warm greeting.

"It was actually pretty nice. What about yours?"

"I don't know, I had my eyes closed the whole time." I had to take a second to register what she had said before I began laughing.

When I recovered I looked at Ellie with a new fondness. "Did you just make that joke?"

She shrugged, "Well I figured instead of bland responses I'd make some fun ones. I believe they are mostly referred to as puns."

"Well I like it, maybe I'll try a few later on. Anyway, where can I find Chatot at this time?"

"You asked for me?" I turn to Chatot waiting expectantly.

"Yes, I was wondering if I might be able to do some work for you."

"Oh?"

"I don't want to become a guild member yet, but was hoping for a chance to do a job where I can make some income."

"Hmm, I'd have to run that through the Guildmaster and he's currently busy at the moment. Perhaps later when he's not busy you could come submit a filled out request form. Then you could-" he stopped short gasping loudly, "W-Wait! Are you that Riolu I've heard so much about?!"

I shrugged, "I'm not Ace if that's what your asking."

"No no! You're Chase though! The Guildmaster has requested your presence personally!"

I frowned, "Really? What did I do that involves him wanting to see me?"

"I don't know exactly, but if what I've heard is correct it's important. Will you please follow me?" I nod as Chatot pointed towards Ellie. "You too, this involves you as well."

"Oh! O-okay." She falls into step with me as we follow Chatot. This was weird.

Once we arrive at the Guildmaster's doors we continue inside. At the desk was who I assume was the guild master. He looked like the outside building's figure. Pink, kinda egg shaped, pointy ears, and big round blue eyes. I was slightly intimidated by those eyes, but I didn't let it get to me too badly. Once we filed into the room the door shut behind us.

"Guildmaster, I've brought that Riolu you wanted to meet." We waited for a response... but none came. "Uh... Guildmaster?" Chatot was about to poke him when suddenly he sprung up excitedly.

"Yoom Ta!" I jumped back resisting the urge to do anything that I'd regret. Once he seemed to have calmed down his expression changed to an interested one. "Oh? Are you the Riolu I wanted to see?"
