School was going pretty good for me. I was anxious but adjusting to high school and all the class changing with new lockers and locker combinations. The first day was so boring since we just went over what we ALWAYS go through every single new school year since kindergarten... Classroom behavior/expectations. I couldn't wait for that day to get over with because it felt like it lasted 3 hours and we were only done with the first hour (which is only 45 minutes). I didn't talk to anyone that day except for when the teachers done the roll-call and I had to say here. I didn't know where to sit in the classrooms so I just found a place in the front row of each room. I know others thought i was going to be a pain in the touche but oh well I'm a freshman who has NO friends in the class.
In my 1st and 2nd hour class I did sit behind a blonde haired girl who I thought looked nice like personality wise. I didn't talk to her and she didn't talk to me that day but I expected that. 3rd hour was our elp (extended learning period/study hall) and luckily I got my friend from 8th grade Octavies in that class. But as always we couldn't talk because we HAD to listen to the same stuff we already knew from previous years and that teacher gave us a seating arrangement and my last name began with a B and her's with a K so we sat on opposite sides of the class. :(
Then 4th hour rolled around which was world history with Mr. Baker which would be my favorite class and favorite teacher. I had NO friends in that class but I did have someone who was an aquaintance last year so I sat next to her in class and we didn't talk because she's shy like me. Her name was Kaitlyn she was friends with my friend Octavies last year and I knew literally nothing about her not even her name last year. Lunch was after world history and I only had Kaitlyn, and the blonde haired girl from 1st ,2nd hour in lunch so I sat with Kaitlyn since she asked me to. It started off with an akward silence then she introduced herself to me and I introduced myself to her. She laughed after I introduced myself and said "I know Staci." We finished eating then went to 5th hour I'm not sure what her's was but mine was science.
I went to science after I got directions from another science teacher after I got lost then I found out my cousin Sadie was in the same science class as me so I sat next to her. And again we couldn't talk so we just passed notes. The teacher Mr. Mucher told us about his navy experience and told us a little bit about his family with a slideshow presentation. That class flew by compared to my other classes. Then I went to my 6th hour which was art with Mrs. Patterson. Her class was on the other side of the school but somehow I made it there on time and found that I had a ton of people I knew in that class so I felt happy. This time I sat at the back of the class as the teacher done roll-call I learned more people's name and as in the other classes we done the classroom expectations but I "doodled" on one of my binders I brought.
I went to p.e. after art which was just down the hall and this time it wasn't boring! We had like 5 minutes of classroom expectations then we could talk and get our stuff out of our lockers. I got my stuff out of my locker to get on the first bus that leaves the school (bus 3) and just played on my phone until the bell rang to go home. I got through my first day of school and I thought to myself "Woo how exciting. NOT!" I sat by myself for the 30 minute bus ride home and after the long lonely ride home my mother picked me and my brother up at the bus stop. She asked how our first day was (like all parents do) I told her it was very boring and I was surprised at my brother's response when he said he liked it but he was a little nervous since it was his first day of 6th grade (Junior high/middle school.) I was so ready for bed that night.
I got home done my daily chores and listened to pandora until I was ready for bed. I got up from the computer chair, brushed my teeth, put my retainer in after I was done with my teeth then went to the bathroom to change into my pajamas and I was out as soon as I hit my bed. I was excited for the next day of school to talk to my friends and hey the first day's always the worst right?
