                         Alex (POV)

I woke up extra excited today because I'm finally going to see my sister after asking them for days. I got out of bed and changed into shorts and a shirt that said "Animals Rescuer." 

I grabbed my suitcase, which I had painted with wild animals and the Wild Kratts symbol. Lastly, I put on a pair of blue sneakers.

On my 16th birthday, Aviva gifted me a creature pod, which I still possess. I recently painted it symbol on my suitcase. 

When I opened the suitcase, I put in shorts, shirts, tank tops, sandals, a laptop, my phone, and chargers, enough to last me 3 months.

     I packed my essentials, including shorts, shirts, tank tops, sandals, a laptop, phone, chargers, underwear, sports bras, books about animals, Rick Riordan books, a scrapbook, and a portable HP printer. 

I just remembered that I need to bring my journal, where I write about the animals I encounter every time I visit Avivas during the summer. It's already halfway filled. 

I placed it inside my suitcase and my small blue and green book bag. After zipping up my suitcase, I put my creature pod in my pocket.

I saw my parents all packed up for their work trip. "Are you ready?" they asked. I nodded with excitement as I dragged my suitcase to the porch. She always picks me up in the Tortuga. I waited, excited for her to arrive.

Well, she floats on the air, more like it, then drops down a way for me to get up. My mom said, "Alex, here's your birthday  present," and handed me a box. 

I eagerly opened it to find a necklace that revealed a picture of my mom, dad, and sister. "Thank you, Mom,dad," I said gratefully. As I looked up, I saw a familiar Tortuga above us and exclaimed, "She's here, she's here!" while bouncing up and down in excitement.
