chapter 10

 Alex Pov 
   

    I woke up to the sound of my alarm on the first day of my final school year. After getting ready, I dressed in a shirt that read 'adventure is life,' paired with cargo shorts and blue sneakers.

 I headed downstairs to grab a granola bar for breakfast and noticed a note on the table. It read: "Your father and I had to leave early. Please remember to lock the door before leaving for school. Sincerely, Mom and Dad."

Grabbing my bag, I locked the front door and headed to school. After securing my bike with a bike lock, I placed the key in my backpack and entered the school. I walked in and was immediately crushed into a hug. 

"I missed you so much this summer. Where did you go?" Tasha said. Tasha has been my best friend since my first year. As she released Alex from the hug."I spent the entire summer with my sister, boyfriend, and her friends,ofc" I mentioned while retrieving my locker combination and locker number. 

Tasha, who was also getting her locker information, inquired about this. We discovered that our lockers were beside each other, which I found fantastic. We opened our lockers, put away our books, and closed them. 

Then we looked at each other's schedules and realized we had all our classes together. "So cool!" I said as we walked to our first class. 

After my last class of the day, I walked alongside my friend Tasha. I went to my bike as she left in her mom's car.

 Suddenly, I felt my creature pod being pulled out of my pocket. When I turned around, I saw Vilot holding my creature pod. She called me "the creature girl" and joked about my nickname. 

I demanded that she return my creature pod, but she seemed more interested in my boyfriend on the screen. Eventually, I  took advantage of the distraction to steal my creature pod. I quickly unlocked my bike, put my bike lock in my book bag, and rode home.
