Malfoy: Okay, this is getting stupid. What do you want?

Potter: Nothing.

Malfoy: Really??

Potter: Yeah

Malfoy: Why aren't you asleep?

Potter: Nightmares.

Potter: Why aren't you asleep?

Malfoy: My mind keeps me awake, thinking about all the things I've did wrong.

Potter: You didn't do anything wrong, though.

Malfoy: ..

Malfoy: Potter...

Malfoy: I was a deatheater.

Potter: Only because your parents forced you to be, right?

Malfoy: How did you know?

Potter: I watched over all the trials.

Malfoy: Oh.

Potter: Yeah.

Potter: It amazes me how one man could corrupt so many people.

Malfoy: Voldemort is a strange dude. Powerful, yes, but also strange.

Malfoy: What are your nightmares about?

Potter: The war, mostly.

Potter: Watching people die.

Potter: Going into worlds where Voldemort won.

Potter: Repeating the time he possessed me.

Potter: But also of my abusive muggle relatives.

Malfoy: You were abused?

Potter: Yeah, but not many people know.

Potter: I don't open up about what the muggles did to me.

Malfoy: Why? What did they do?

Potter: Chores start at 6 a.m.

Potter: Don't go outside unless I know no one could see me.

Potter: Sleep in a cupboard under the stairs.

Potter: For the first 11 years of my life, I ate nothing but scraps.

Potter: I was used as a punching bag for my Uncle Vernon, my cousin Dudley and Dudley's friends.

Malfoy: Wow...

Malfoy: Maybe that's the real reason you were put in Gryffindor.

Potter: What do you mean?

Malfoy: All your life outside of Hogwarts was of you being abused.

Malfoy: Then you're able to put on a smile and act as if everything is okay.

Malfoy: That's true bravery right there.

Potter: Haha, thanks.

Potter: But what if I told you I wasn't supposed to be in Gryffindor?

Malfoy: Wait, what?

Potter: First year, the Sorting Hat wanted to put me in Slytherin.

Potter: But you were a prat so I said I didn't want to.

Malfoy: Was I really that bad?

Potter: Yes and no.

Potter: I think things would have been different if I would have met you before Ron.

Potter: I didn't care how much you criticized me, but how you judged my friends.

Malfoy: I had no idea..

Potter: I somewhat regret not shaking your hand.

Malfoy: Really?

Potter: Yeah. You don't seem bad when you aren't around others.

Malfoy: It's simply a facąde.

Potter: I can see that now.

Malfoy: So, Potter, would you like to try this whole "friendship" thing?

Potter: Call me Harry.

Malfoy: So, Harry, is that a yes?
