No, there are not aliens walking around and torturing people, there are no spaceships instead of cars or people living on other planets.Instead of aliens, people have defined biological roles based on a hierarchical system, with the terms originating from animal behaviour research. Alphas, betas and omegas.
Alphas are generally dominant and the ones who are on the top of the society. They are also able to impregnate Omegas. Betas are the rarest and are subordinate to Alphas. They may not be able to impregnate Omegas. Betas are presented as having "normal" human anatomy with none of the special attributes of Alphas or Omegas. That's one of the reasons why they are the rarest. Omegas are the lowest on the hierarchy and the submissive ones. Male Omegas are self-lubricating and have the ability to become pregnant (referred to as being bred or mated).
Also, the society changed in ways that rich, selfish people are managing the countries while the poor and humble people worked for them. The government does not exist. Everyone is his own boss. Rich people live separately from poor people. They live in lavish villas, eat what they want and do what they want while the poor fight for the food and have no decent living space. Rich people treat them like shit.
Murders, drugs, stealing or any thing that used to be illegal is now the usual that's happening every single day. Police? Prison? (Even though the poor sometimes feel like they are in prison) Don’t exist. Money and being wealthy are the main points now. Nowadays, people don't have stable jobs. No one doesn't want to work anymore, the poor don't want to be treated like this. The poor Omegas are treated like bitches. Rich Alphas would rape them and wouldn't care if they got them pregnant. They don't want to have some poor Omegas’ child. Meanwhile, the rich Omegas live like Goddess/Gods.
Few years back, the poor tried to stood up against the rich people. Many people were killed that day and no one from the wealthy part of the society did not care. They would laugh at them, even though half of the rich people had to steal and kill to get to the position they are in now. If someone tried to mention that, they would be evicted. No one gives a damn anymore. The poor are praying for the miracle to happen but they are losing hope, there is no superhero to save them from the misery that is now their future.
So why, if everything is perfect in rich people’s lives, is Min Yoongi, who was born and raised in the rich part of society, running away? The seventeen year old boy, who is also an Omega, ran away while his father was having a dinner with their friends and neighbours, The Kim family. Their oldest son, who is an Alpha, Kim Seokjin, caught Yoongi packing his stuff in his room.
“What are you doing!?”
“Running away if it wasn't obvious enough.” The male said before opening the window of his bedroom. Seokjin let out a gasp, trying to stop him. He tried to reach for Yoongi's hand but the Omega flinched.
“Why? What's happening?”
Yoongi sighed, this would be so much easier if Jin didn't caught him. He glanced at his friend as he placed a backpack over his shoulder. “I can't stay here…. You know my situation.” Of course Jin knows, he knows everything.
Min Yoongi was raised only by his Alpha father. In his childhood, he was told his mother died when she was giving birth to him but after Yoongi has presented as an Omega, he found out the truth. His mother was actually a poor Omega and was killed by Yoongi's father after he was born. It really hit him and he realised how cruel the world is. He never had anything against the poor even after he was taught they are only burdens.Omega couldn't stay here anymore, he cannot live with lies of his father's.
“Yoongi…. You cannot leave.”
“Oh yeah? Watch me.” And Yoongi jumped through the window, good thing was that his bedroom is on the first floor of the mansion. He looked back up at Jin who was watching him through the window with wide eyes and opened mouth. Yoongi gave him thumbs up before he started running, not even once looking back.
