"You want to fucking dance? Let's dance."
Kiera backed her head into the face of the vampire making him unbalanced and allowing her to flip her attacker on his back. Kiera took advantage of the situation and straddled him, pinning his shoulder blades to the ground. Her nails had hardened and become black. Slowly closing her hand around his throat.
"Give me one god damn reason why I shouldn't kill you right now," Kiera growled deep and low, her teeth sharpening the angrier she became. Emerald met ruby, and then there was black. Her world being taken in by the wolf that cried within her, the howling filling her ears. Holding back the anger became harder and made it impossible to concentrate. Her morals all faded to the blackness. The bloodsucker clawed at her hand and sputtered, his life force slowly escaping the pain in his throat. His breathing becoming shallow until it stopped. His breathing stopped. The wolf became satisfied with its work and silenced itself.
Red ruby had faded back to the sky blue and instantly there was a storm brewing within her eyes. Kiera looked down at the corpse, watching it slowly turn to ash.
His face was stiff with his mouth looking twisted and crying out in pain. Crawling toward the boy's body, Kiera pulled at the mask and watched as the boy's eyes rolled back and dulled. A glaze setting in and fixed them with the terror he had felt in his final moments. As his body passed, Kiera let her tears fall and whisper small 'I'm sorry's over and over.
Walking out of the classroom was when things got weird. It had seemed that time had seemed to stop but Katie and the vampire were the only ones that were able to move. Looking anywhere other than Jefferson, the jaguar was lost in thought until she was, without warning, pushed up against the lockers. Her mouth sealed by another's. Desperately pushing and punching at the parasite, it was futile. Outweighed by strength the Jaguar opened her mouth and allowed him to enter. Once in her mouth, KitKat, thinking quickly, bit into his bottom lip and allowed herself to drop to the ground, taking the parasite with her.
Moving quickly, Katie got out from under Jefferson and ran down the corridor attempting to get away from the vampire that wanted her. Her legs felt like they were on fire, but she pushed through it all. Slowly making her way to the main office until she was overcome with sorrow and pain that she stumbled and landed on her knees.
"What the fuck Kiera? What did you do to me?" Her head was spinning and could feel where her partner had been hurt. Before she had any more time to think about it Jefferson was back but with friends this time. Both boys were bigger than she was, and they would be on top of her any second. Jefferson was holding his lip. He had black blood dripping from the side of his mouth and his gaze was full of heat. All of it was aimed at her.
"You know you're not that bad, mouse."
"Mouse? Did you cause this weird gah!" The jaguar held her head, everything in front of her was spinning.
"Aww, that's cute. Is the little mousey having issues with the wolf spirit that she was given?" The vampire mocked in a childish voice, but it didn't matter. She had the animal spirits inside of her fighting for the dominance in her. Jefferson took a bunch on Katie's shirt and pulled her close.
"What happened to your spark? Not even a bark?" The parasite shook her a little and when the jaguar had opened her eyes they were two different colors. One was a deep stormy grey the other was a brilliant gold.
"What the hell?" Katie was operating at a whole new level. Her body moved on its own and there was nothing the gang could do to stop it.
A sensation came over Kiera and it was the most painful thing her beast had suffered. Her head was spinning and the pain that followed was the worse as it felt like her wolf was being pulled in ten different directions and then was pieced back together in a different order. The whole ordeal felted wrong. Then the pain intensified, pushing herself to her feet Kiera hobbled to her pick up and drove back to the school.
As she had driven the time around had seemed to slow down, everything that was outside her windshield was losing color and turned to grey. Pulling up to the front Kiera moved quickly but cautiously. Unsure of the circumstances and which vampire had caused the time shift Kiera slowly made her way inside to the main office where the entire hallway had been doused in blood. The walls had scratch marks and bloody handprints littering everywhere. Further down there were bodies, they were all banged up, but no one was dead. At most a few limbs were missing.
Continuing, Kiera had caught the faint scent of rotting garbage again knowing that could be one person she knew. Following her nose, Kiera found herself in front of a small closet with it reeking with blood and an upset animal. She knocked.
A small voice was muffled and said go away but Kiera opened the door and saw a distraught jaguar curled into a ball in the furthest back corner.
"Hey. Hey, it's okay it's only me." Kiera inched closer to the jaguar, but she pressed herself further into the wall.
"I didn't mean to do it. I swear! T-they just wouldn't leave me alone." Kitkat sobbed and it broke Kiera's heart with each one. There was nothing she could do to make this right but from the looks of it the time had been restored and time was moving forward again. Kiera rubbed small circles on her back to calm her down and get to get out of the closet.
"Let's get you out of here yeah? Then we can figure out what is going on." The jaguar simply nodded. She wanted to forget the monster she had become. Picking up the fragile package she walked out of the school and drove home. It was time to get things ready for the next week.
