The trek back to the house was adventurous in its own way. Each teasing the other about what had happened. The jaguar had a simple smile on her lips while her wolf was trapped in her hand lock. Although the light dust of pink never faded from the wolf's cheeks, her eyes were flickering with a new flame.

"So how are you planning to make me yours?" The wolf asked as the corners of her mouth were trying to make a smile form.

"Oh you know I have my own tricks." Katie's voice was smooth and sweet almost poisonous.

"Sure you do. And here I am being lead by a strong, confident, not to mention beautiful young lady walking around an unfamiliar forest. Who's telling me to believe that she has a few tricks up her sleeves. Damn. Do you know how much I love it when I get complicated girls?" A soft growl sounded behind the jaguar as she followed her nose out of the trees.

"Well shit! I don't have a clue of who you're talking about, and this whole time I thought you had finally fallen for me not some wolf that acts high and mighty." A teasing pout played at her smooth, pink lips. The look suited her for some reason. It could simply be she was the girl Kiera had been after for a couple weeks now or maybe they were now in a relationship everything seemed okay in the world. No wars between races of wereanimals the humans were still clueless about everything. Life was great.

As the trees started to thin out the wolf pulled the jaguar's arm back allowing for a brief moment of surprise. Moving quickly Kiera scooped the small frame into her arms and let a grin shine brightly.

"Why do you do this to me?" Stormy grey eyes looked up in wonder. Seeming to be intrigued about the features on the wolf's face. So to make sure that she had control over of being dropped or not she simply wrapped her arms around Kiera's shoulders.

"Because I love doing it to you. Duh. Anyway I wanted to carry you it's been awhile since I've done it so there."

"You just did it this morning! What it's only been a couple of hours?! I think you'll live my love." Katie moved one of her hands to the wolf's face, careessing her cheek.

"Well I know I'll live a lot longer because of this." The beam of the smile had lasted and it might have possibly gotten brighter.

"What am I going to do with you?" Katie's lips also forming into a grin.

"I don't know because you refused to tell me." The sunlight cast down on the two of them as Kiera had walked out of the woods.

Wanting to make a retorted comeback Katie was interrupted when the twins came bounding toward them. Jay clinging to Kiera's foot while Emma looked at the two's potion in confusion.

"I thought Maya told you not to lift anything heavy?" Kiera lost it and let her laughter out, Katie tried to exchange a strange look with her love but her eyes were closed.

"Emma you don't say that!" Jazz came running up behind the twins his face clearly red and embarrassed for the pair.

"Why? It's what Maya said." The pup clearly missing the point.

"It- I ummmm." His eyes flickered to his alpha.

"What Jazz is trying to say is that you are correct but it came off rude." Emma looked up her eyes becoming watery.

"I'm sorry!" The wail hurting the older kids' ears. Tears broke out and it was a mess. Snot and tears covered the poor girl's face. Her short arms wrap around Katie's waist as she hides her face in the jaguar's side.

"Hush little one. It's alright. There's no need to cry." Keira slowly let Katie back onto her own feet so that she was able to kneel down next to the pup. "Hey Emma look at me." The Jaguar's voice was soft and sweet. The wailing had ended thankfully but tears stained the pup's face.

"It's okay it was a simple mistake one that anyone could make." At this point the jaguar had pulled the pup into her arms and held her in a tight hug. Minor hiccups escaped the pup's lips and even then a few tears fell down her face.

"Hey let's get your face cleaned up huh?" Katie cooed in her ear hoping that it would end the tear streams. Emma simply nodded and slowed her face a bit more. There was strings of snot and spit attached to Katie's jacket, but Emma's face was in worse condition. Her cheeks stained with tears, snot and saliva with a tint of red to them. The poor girl's eyes were extremely puffy and a heavy shade of pink.

Jazz pulled out a handkerchief and handed it to Katie. She accepted it and made a swift motion of wiping the pup's face clean. As she did so Kiera's ears picked up on the sound of the back door opening. (CUZ FINALLY PLOT IS KICKING IN!!! XD) Turning her head towards the noise she saw her Father standing on the porch waiting for her to come to him.

"Hey you got this?" Kiera looked at her lover and at the quiet pup in her arms. Katie answered with a curious look but when Kiera nodded toward the house she understood followed by a curt nod.

"Hey Jay I need my leg back for a minute okay?" She lifted her leg up to see if Jay would release her leg.

"Why? I'm comfy!" The pup whined.

"Is it your wish to keep Father waiting and get stuck doing awful chores?" Jay released not even a moment later when she had brought up chores. "Promise that I'll let you do this later." Kiera rustled his hair before running off to the porch.

Upon arriving Kiera's father had a disappointed look on his facial features. "Father, what's wrong?" Kiera's voice had dropped a small bit and her ears had begun listening for any dangerous signs.

"Kiera we are going to war."
