You sat upstairs in George Washington's house, the president had returned from war deciding to propose marriage to his childhood sweetheart. And then, he decided to step down as president. Only now telling Alexander Hamilton, his right hand, who didn't seem to handle it well. The protesting yells had died down after a while and you decided to walk downstairs to hear them.
"Why?"
"Love Alex, love."
"I love Eliza but I'm not stepping down!"He yelped
"Alex....I'm sorry but I can't do anything more, the world is in your hands"George smiled
You poked your head around the corner, hand holding a book.
"Who's that?"
"That's my wife, (Y/N) come out"George laughed
"(Y/N) Washington, pleasure to meet you"You bowed your head to him shyly
"(Y/N) surely you agree that Washington should stay on as President!"Hamilton smiled as though he'd won
"George is burnt out Hamilton, he wants to pass the job on because he trusts that as long as your around everything will be good."You smiled to him
"And I don't want to be at war when my child's born"He put his arm around your waist making your cheeks flare up
"Well- I wish the both of you luck"Hamilton smiled sadly
"Thank you Alexander"
