As the sun rose so did Annabella. "More." She shouted whilst opening and closing her hand. Minerva had come to know she was hungry when she said and did this. "In a little while." She said but Annabella was hungry. "Mumma more." She kept repeating hoping that her mother would move. "Give me some more time to sleep. It's five and you don't normally wake till six." She complained as the old witch felt a strong headache. "Mamma." The baby said feeling frustrated. "Wait." The woman replied but Annabella was hungry. Suddenly taking Minerva by surprise the baby did something new. She walked to the other side of the bed and mumbled "Dada" Minerva felt a tear form but she wiped it away.
Minerva closed her eyes but a knock came and then Dumbledore walked in with a smile. "I was wondering if you fancied me taking the child for today. I thought you could have time to digest it all." Before she responded he had lifted the child who was still asking for food and left. Her face dropped a little but she felt glad that she could sleep. This way her baby wouldn't see her as weak nor would she be able to snap at the girl.
Bella however, was merrily in the arms of a stranger as she played in his beard. Her smile was broad and she played mindlessly with his long white hair. He chucked when she squealed out of excitement. As they walked through the corridor an owl dropped a letter for the headmaster. After he had read the parchment he urgently headed for his office.
On his way he heard footsteps and smiled. "My boy do you mind caring for the child today? I offered but the ministry just contacted me. I am needed there. I beg that only you care for the child. I can then know of her safety as well as Minerva's sanity." A brooding professor nodded once and left with the child in his arms. An annoyed look was seen but Albus could do no more.
As the two stalked into the dungeons the child looked furious. "What?" He spat but the child just turned her head angrily. Once he was sat the child stood a metre away and arched an eyebrow "More. Mamma more." Snape's cold eyes had looked away for a second but he was brought from his papers when he saw movement the other side of the room. There he saw the little girl run from the class.
He got to his feet begrudgingly and walked to the corridor. She was heading to the slytherin portrait. "Away with you." The portrait spoke and the girl laughed. Snape grabbed her hand making the girl jump and scream slightly. She was tugged vigorously but she pulled back. "More. Mamma." She sounded angry and already knew how to arch a brow. "I see your mother has taught you something. I believe you were supposed to listen to her words not copy her facial expression." He seethed. The child stomped her foot and a painting laughed. "I think she wants something." Snape's face just made all the other paintings laugh.
The grouch sighed and thought for a second. "Food?" He asked and she started jumping and smiling. He picked her up to reduce wasted time, she rested her head on his shoulder as he carried her to the kitchens. The kitchen was busy as it always was and Snape placed the child on a stool. He acquired the help of Daisy the house elf who more than willingly got some food for the child as well as feeding the sweet girl. After the baby was full and cleaned of any food Snape picked her up and carried her to the dungeons again.
He sat behind his desk and the young girl tried to climb onto his lap. He gave in after the tenth attempt and picked her up. She rested herself against Snape and fell into a sleep. The sleep was short lived though as she jumped up and ran around the classroom playing with anything she could reach, which was hardly anything. The day passed like this till Dumbledore walked in "my boy. Minerva is currently at the ministry and I will have to be there to. I was wondering if you would be willing to care for the young child for the next two days." Snape looked angrily at the girl making her look ready to cry but she looked tired as she rested her head on top of her dainty hands that were palm down on the floor. "I am busy." He said and turned back to his paper.
