Ferg
"Fergusonnn-"
"Your whiny ass"
"Bitch ass" She shot back.
I immediately made the right to pull over, pressed down on the brake, put the car in park, and twisted the key in the ignition before pulling it out. "Who you be playin' with, man?"
Her smile looked painted on so I assumed that she was rolling her eyes under her blindfold.
"Moody ass" I shook my head and started the car again.
"I'm sorry. I don't know what's wrong with my hormones"
"You probably pregnant" I said and pinched my leg so that I didn't smile so that she wouldn't hear the smile in my voice.
She shook her head. "I already took two tests at the doctor. I'm not. The Plan B's are effective"
"And when did you do that?" I looked at her.
"Umm the last time you were in the studio. Does that bother you?"
"Yes, I would have liked to have been there"
"I didn't know that it was such a big deal. I didn't actually feel pregnant. I'm sorry for not telling you that anyways."
I sighed and pulled up into the bumpy driveway. "We'll talk later"
I parked and got out before going to her side of the car to get her.
I helped her stand before making her face me. "Open your mouth"
She laughed a little, being nasty.
"You ain't 'bout it" I brushed her off and pressed down on her inhaler before slipping it into my pocket.
After what felt like forever, we made it to the front door.
The bell was broken so I knocked.
The door pushed open.
"Everything sounds so rickety and old. This wood is caving beneath my-"
"Shh" I cut her off and stepped inside. "Darold Ferguson is here!" I announced and closed the door behind us.
I heard light footsteps, and a small old lady appeared. "Oh my goodness, hello! Come in, come in!"
I took off Sayvior's blindfold and guided her to the living room that I had once sat in before.
After the elderly lady sat down, she exhaled loudly. "That walk to the door took a lot out of me"
Sayvior looked around the room for a bit, before she stood up and walked over to a table.
"What are you doing?"
"A picture caught her eye" The lady smiled.
I stood up and walked behind her, pulling her back into me. "What are you looking at, baby?"
She turned around and started to sob into my chest.
It happened so quickly that it scared me for a second, but I relaxed afterwards.
Her inhaler was right in my pocket, but I expected her to pass out anyways because I knew that she could get too overwhelmed.
I wrapped my arms around her, and she started to slip away from me. I held her tighter, and walked us over to the couch.
She curled up on my lap and wrapped her arms around my neck.
I wiped at her face and the elderly lady got up and slowly left the room.
She took a deep breath and wiped at her face herself. "I - I saw me and my mommy"
"She's your grandmother"
A little boy marched in the room, holding a tray of tea. "Put it on the table, nanny?!" He dropped it on the coffee table anyways.
I didn't know about him.
"Why don't you say hello first, Sachi?" Her grandmother made it back and sat down.
He whirled around and looked at us shyly.
"This is your brother, Sayvior"
He wasn't here when I came, so this was the first time that I had heard of him.
Sayvior removed herself from me and sat down beside me. "How old is he?"
He held up six fingers and pushed his tongue through the spot where you could tell that he had just lost a tooth.
"You take care of him by yourself?" Sayvior asked her grandmother.
Sachi and her grandmother both nodded their heads.
"Well I'm Ferg" I introduced myself. "Wassup, Sachi?"
"I seen you on a poster" He told me.
"Oh really? That's what's up"
"Ferguson, can I talk to you?" Sayvior stood up, and I could see that she was shaking a bit.
I stood up and led her outside. "Yeah, baby?"
I dipped my head into her neck and kissed at it.
"I want him" She said immediately. "I don't- I can't think right now - thank you so much..."
"Sayvior-"
"Please, he's my brother. I want him with me in a nice house. He's my family-"
"Slow down, love. We'll figure it out, aight?"
She nodded her head. "I want her to move too"
"You want them to move in with us?" I asked.
She paused for a long time. "I think that...I should move with them only because the mob comes over so much and I wouldn't want them to feel like they would have to change or go elsewhere, because it's still your house. I think that she'd be much more comfortable in her own space too"
I sighed cause not living with Sayvior was going to be tough. "I hear you, mama"
"Thank you so much, Darold. I don't think I could ever thank you enough, but thank you."
"You meet my family, I meet yours. You don't have to thank me. I was just trying to help you reconnect. I want you happy."
