Kai gave me a look. "You're so nervous, Sayvior. Your sweat makes it look like you're glowing"
Ferg tried really hard to be with me today, but in the end, his flight got delayed so it didn't work out.
So I bought Kai a plane ticket in advance and begged her to come be with me.
To stall, I booked us a birthday photoshoot even though neither of us had a birthday coming up.
"...you're nervous" I responded, slowly dipping my knife into the cake.
I felt something smash against my shoulder and laughed before scooping up some cake and tossing it back at her.
There goes my deposit.
"Y'all can just do y'all thing forreal forreal" Our photographer said.
"Kai, we don't have on party hats" I got up and slid on icing, almost falling.
My phone rang beside the bag of stuff, and I answered the FaceTime from Nast.
"Hello, brother" I said.
He looked at me weird before shaking his head. "You better get your nigga before I pop him"
"What did he do?" I asked.
"You know that ol' boy love to act up when you're away. That's why his mama cussed his ass out"
Nast's phone flew and landed on Ferg's lap.
He picked it up and smiled at me.
"Ouu you got the silky, the beard, and the diamonds on your teeth. Why didn't you call me?" I asked.
"Cause you got me feeling like a clingy lil bitch"
"Darold, you're the one that wants me to go away and work all the time"
"I miss you. I wanna box." He said. "What you doing?"
"Kai and I are doing a photoshoot. This is my way of stalling. You get into the ring with me and cheat. Cheater. I miss you too."
"I love you. I gotta go. Call me in like an hour if you want to, or when you free again. Imma be thinking about you"
"Could we do the uh. . .-"
"What?" He asked and started to rub his beard.
Nevermind, I would just wait to ask about the pregnancy test.
I stared at him for a few moments and then I bit my lip to stop from smiling so wide.
"Don't look at me and bite your lip like that. You gon' get it when you see me."
"That's what I want"
"Don't talk that nasty shit on my phone" Nast said.
"Are you in a hotel or on the bus tonight?" I asked.
"Hotel room. Why?" He asked.
"Just wanted to know. Okay, love you"
"See you later. Bye."
Something popped behind me, and I turned around alarmed to see confetti raining down on Kai.
She smiled for a few photos, but then it quickly dropped. "We gotta wrap this up because I'm sticky now"
I tossed her a hat and got us both more confetti.
We ended up blowing up balloons, and the shoot lasted longer than we thought.
